Emma's Tamales — Restaurant in Sacramento

This restaurant is located in a strip full of mechanics and other trade shops. On the day of my visit, parking was abundant.

I ordered two pork tamales which came with a side of rice and beans and a canned drink. The service I received was great, the lady servicing the store at the time was sweet.

The food was packaged very well. The tamales themselves were good, though the wrapping they're placed in tends to stick to the tamale and makes taking it off kind of annoying. Unfortunately, I didn't much enjoy the rice and beans as I found them kind of flavorless. The spicy salsa provided helped a bit but not much.

All in all, they make pretty good tamales. I will probably be back sometime to try the...

The best, absolutely the best. Their chicken enchiladas are out of this world and no matter how hard I try I will never be able to replicate theirs. Tamales are also delicious and just like grandma would make. Perfect ratio of meat to masa. Hibiscus tea is a must to have with your meal as is their salsa. Prices are reasonable, $6.00 for the enchiladas and you get two. This is one of those places you have to eat at at least once point in your lifetime. I true treasure to the Sacramento area,...

I walked in to your establishment and did not know what to get...it all sounded good...i had the pleasure of speaking to a young lady... Her name....Margarita....she not only suggested food items she also made me smile....her customer service is awesome...dont let her go.....cause you dont find associates like that everyday..... Anyone who asks me where to get tamales.....i will always...
