Q & R BBQ — Restaurant in Sacramento

My friend and I wanted BBQ and it was close to running errands so we went. As you walk up, you walk to a window, an older gentlemen took our order. We asked for a menu and we choose 3-4 meats with baked beans and potatoe salad.

When we got our order we didn't eat immediately, we had a few more errands. When we finally sat down and opened up the food-and THERE WERE NO SIDES. Mind you, he was even throwing a deal as to purchase 2, 3-4 meat combo.

He said as we left...let the food bring you back ...we'll sir... maybe if the order was correct...but sadly. We will not be back due to getting 2 slices of bread as a side in replacement of baked beans and potato...

This is our FAVORITE place to go for ribs. My husband and I discovered them before they opened their restaurant, we used to see them smoking their ribs in front of a local church and decided to stop by to ask if they sold to the public (I thought maybe they were bbq'ing for their congregation) thankfully they were and they were so warm and friendly and the food was SO DELICIOUS that we became regulars. I just came off a long shift from Monument was burnt out and had a hankering for barbecue, unsatisfied with all my known joints I took a roll of the dice. If your looking for real barbecue real old school barbecue look no further. You can taste the handed down for generations barbecue nohow and the love put into it in every fall off the bone bite. The best way I can describe the atmosphere is if Fred Stanford opened a barbecue joint and let the women run the kitchen while he Grady and Lamont carried on about one thing or another in the dining room.
