I didn’t grow up eating Ethiopian food but my goodness this is taste of comfort for me in all the best way! If you guys haven’t tried it go now! We got there right when it opened and it started getting busy during lunch time! They also have vegetarian & vegan buffet option for only $15.99 Mon-Fri 11:30am-3pm We Ordered: Combo D for 2 no fish substitute for red lentils! The side veggie we had ordered was Cabbage, Potatoes & Carrots, and a side of Gomen! #sacramentofoodie #iykyk #yummy #tasty #thingstodoinsac #eats #sacfoodie #vibes #bites #ethiopian #food #foodie

My dad and I are the adventurous eaters in the family, so we make it a point that when we go out to eat just the two of us, to try something new. We went here some time last year after a convention to try Ethiopian food for the first time. And omg it was amazing. I'm vegan and have a health condition that effects my digestive system so I sometimes find it difficult to find things that agree with me. The menu has a vegan and vegetarian selection as well as information on some of the different elements of Ethiopian food that people may be unfamiliar with. My dad is the exact opposite in that he can and will eat anything at least once. He is also very indecisive and will ask the waitress what she suggests. He got a tasting platter with I think 4 different entree items and I got the potatoes and carrots. We both got our entrees with the injeta option. It was absolutely delicious!!! I'm so glad we went there. I don't go to sac often but when I do, this place is always top of my list to get food. The portions are quite large as it is usually a family style meal (my dad and I couldn't do that bc of my dietary restrictions) and leftovers reheat well. I got the takeout option this past time and the portion I got will easily be 4 meals for me. I also got the mango drink and as a certified mango lover, I recommend. I've literally been telling all my friends to try Ethiopian food bc it's become one of my go tos. (The photo is the only one I have from after we finished starting the salad that my dad took bc I can't eat raw veggies)

Looking for a delicious and authentic Ethiopian dining experience in Sacramento? Look no further than Queen Sheba on Broadway. This restaurant is a true gem and has everything you could want - convenient location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, and most importantly, delicious food. One of my favorite things about Queen Sheba is their amazing lunch buffet. They offer a wide variety of dishes at very reasonable prices, making it the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying lunch. And let me tell you, their freshly made injera bread is an absolute must-try. But it's not just the lunch buffet that's amazing - everything on their menu is delicious. From the lentils to the ata kilt and everything in between, every dish is packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. And don't forget to try their Ethiopian tea - it's a masterpiece in its own right. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. I always look forward to my next visit to Queen Sheba, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for authentic and delicious Ethiopian cuisine in Sacramento. Overall, Queen Sheba is a true gem of a restaurant. The lunch buffet is amazing, the injera bread is delicious, and every dish on the menu is packed with flavor. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. If you're looking for authentic Ethiopian cuisine in Sacramento, look no further than Queen Sheba.

This place was literally the worse service I’ve ever had first of all waited an hr to be seated for just two then when seated took 45 minutes for the rude waitress to take our order literally had to ASK them to take our order and after ordering I was clear on what I wanted me & my daughter both ordered the same thing the waitress even confirmed it awaze beef tibs after waiting ANOTHER 45 minutes for our food my daughter got her plate first they brought my plate 15 minutes later my daughter was just about done with her plate by time mine came when I got my food it was not what I ordered it was blan plain beef literally no flavor I told them this was not what I ordered I started to take things personal at this point after I noticed two other people come in after us and get there food before us anyways the waitress literally started arguing with me about my order then brought me a tiny bowl on the side of the meat I actually wanted in the first place it wasn’t even enough to feed a child I told her I was over it and I just wanted to leave she said she will bring me a plate with the spicy awaze beef tibs that I originally ordered but had to fight to get it asked for regular salad but they brought spinach I don’t like spinach after getting the correct plate finally after two hours of this horrible service all the waitresses behind the bar kept staring at me and talking about me watching me eat my food at this point I didn’t feel comfortable eating my food anymore scared they did something to it!! The WORSE experience I’ve ever had and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone not to mention food was not good !! Not sure why it takes them so long to bring your food when it’s put togther so effortlessly and not to mention the nasty tap water they use taste dirty I could not wait to walk out of this horrible over...

If I could give a negative star I would. But after eating here for awhile and finally being able to take my little sister who wanted to try Ethiopian food so bad I will never go here again. I took my baby sis in here around 9:15pm one night and they were the rudest and most unprofressional. Samri was the most rude and acted as if it was a problem to take my order. (Keep in my mind I have ate here approx. 10 to 15 times). My sister even said wow do they not want us in here? We were both taken aback and it was really disheartening for me as I have always spome so highly of Queen Sheba but never again. I tried asking Samri different questions about some of the food because I wanted to buy more than what I usually got( glad I didn't) but she completely IGNORED me and started to talking to other women that were working in their native language. She then began wiping down the counter and kept coughing all over what looked like freshly clean glasses that were stored there in front of her. She was coughing directly on them!. And then when we finally got our order the sauce was put in these flimsy tiny paper cups with saran wrap over them and when I asked why they weren't put in a plastic container with a lid she gave an inaudible answer and just stared at me. Completely unsanitary not to mention the sauces weren't full so I asked for at least the sauce for the sambs. To be filled since I'd bought 10 of them she told me she couldn't. I just grabbed the bag and left. When we got home and went to eat the food the sauce had wilted and soiled the paper cups causing it to spill all ovet the bag. Highly and severely disappointed and will be calling...
