Let's face it: Target stores all seem the same on the surface. But the staffing really makes the difference. I've been to many different Target stores so far, in and around Northern California and Northern Nevada. The staffing at the stores varies tremendously. This review applies to the Target store on Broadway across from the Cemetary, in Sacramento. I have been there n=8 times. I frequent the store because there is an EV charging station in the parking lot. I will review that location separately.

I have had to get something out of a locked, secured case on three occasions. In each case, the employee was prompt, cheerful and patient. Once I paused to make a decision after the employee opened the case and it took some time. She made playful conversation in furtherance of making me not feel hurried.
The checkout people have never been cheerful or chatty. Rather like, "thanks, next". I don't expect anyone to be that cheerful in this job. I guess.
Staff have approached me and asked me if i needed help in this store on two occasions.
The security guards by the door are very friendly.
The grocery section is excellent in choice/variety and cleanliness.
The store in general feels poorly lit. Strange.
Overall the clothing section (and store as a whole) appears to be in good order and well-maintained.
Self-checkout is simple and functional.
I commend an overall...
Read moreI received a Chicco Bravo Trio stroller and car seat system, LOVED how the stroller and car seat looked . But my review is based of what happened before I could even use it. I received as a baby shower gift , box looked a little beat up but I wasn’t super worried about it. Upon opening it a few days later I went through the assembly instructions and sat down to assemble the stroller when I started noticing bags where already opened , stroller was dusty , rocks were lodged into wheels , deep scratches, and even parts were missing. The car seat didn’t sit right on the base , infant insert was stained. To top it off the color it said it was on the box wasn’t the color the actaul stroller / car seat was. I understand people return items and that’s understandable but I don’t think it’s acceptable to resell items like this , for the simple fact that Target didn’t know if the previous owner was in an accident or anything else. The car seat or stroller could potentially malfunction, causing injury or death to a baby due to the lack of inspection of returned items. Especially those of this nature. An employee was kind enough to help us find a solution to the problem and was a huge help ! I’m hoping everything works out in my case and that it dosnt happen to...
Read moreTarget claims to be customer service oriented. Neither Target nor its roboticly trained staff can legitimately claim that. This morning when picking up 3 of the 4 items I'd ordered online, I asked the staff member what would have happened if I had waited till the 4th item had arrived for collection, to pick up the first 3 items. I was told the first 3 items would have been sent back to the warehouse and my order cancelled. I pointed out that imposes the burden on me, the customer, to make 2 visits to the Target store for the one order. I asked, "How is that good customer service?" The staff member replied, "That's the Target system." I asked, "Shouldn't she seek to initiate a change to the system to deliver better customer service?" The answer was an indifferent shrug of the shoulders. My response will be to shop at Target as little as possible, as to both Target and its staff, the customer exists primarily for their. I shall never respond to a Target survey request as their surveys exist only to create a perception of customer caring, rather than supporting an intent to improve their staff, systems and service. I shall urge all others to...
