Looking for a hip over priced wanna be healthy spot for breakfast? You found it. $4 drip coffee that took 5 minutes to find the way to our table in a mostly empty space. Every single person working here made me feel like I was working for them. I heard a couple complain to the manager about their food being cold. His exact reaction was he hadn't had a complaint in months and then started his apology in a very fake and condescending tone. Finally, I sip my boiling bitter coffee and realize I need to milk a cow in order to enjoy this java. I had the hash with the in house corned beef. The hash wasn't hash rather cubed potatoes in a very oily sauce the eggs on top were not fresh and anyone can tell those pale yokes that lay flat. The corned beef was mostly fat and was chewy like an undercooked greasy mushroom. I wonder if the meat was the scraps from the deli next door. One piece of toast dry served with a cold cube of butter was on the side. My husband had the benny biscuit. It was okay but the biscuit was barely a biscuit. The one thing I enjoyed was the salad that came with his dish it had pickles in it which were delightful. Overrall the meal for two dishes and two cups of coffee ended up being $48. Now maybe many of you are okay with this but I am not. For a $48 breakfast I would like superior service and every single bite to feel worth it. I also never want to have to wait more than a minute for a drip coffee either. So if you find yourself looking for a low key, over priced, okay meal that screams I am feeding you poor quality with all the pretense this is high quality then by all means step right up and enjoy. I will...
Read morevisited for lunch and really wanted to love this place, but a few things fell short. The menu is quite limited, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the selections felt overly complex and specific. When you think of breakfast or lunch—my reason for visiting—you expect simple, well-executed classics or familiar dishes with a creative twist.
One big disappointment was the banana pancakes. Nowhere on the menu did it mention the 151 liquor on top, which completely overwhelmed the dish and caught me off guard. It really ruined the experience for me.
Service was just okay. There was a blonde woman, possibly a manager, who seemed to pick up on my reaction and kindly offered to make me something else. I appreciated that level of attentiveness—it’s rare to find someone who genuinely takes notice when something is off. However, the waitstaff and hostess seemed disorganized and confused. With an almost empty restaurant at the time I visited, I would have expected a bit more attentiveness, but instead, we felt oddly neglected.
As a fellow business owner, I think they have potential, but a more approachable menu with broader appeal could bring in a larger crowd. The elevated, fine-dining-style dishes might be better suited for an evening at Saddle River Inn, just...

The creative mocktails are perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted, whether you’re enjoying them on their own or with your meal. Every detail here feels intentional and elevated.
Huge shoutout to Chef Jamie Knott and the entire team—they’re warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Can’t wait to return!
