It breaks my heart to have to even say this... I have been a devout CL PJ’s fan and pizza eater for 31 years. But with the new ownership, quality of this place has fallen off a cliff. For the SECOND TIME THIS WEEK, I just called in an order, went to pick up, and they said “someone else got my pizza.” Their offer to make it right was to offer to make me another one, if I wanted to wait 50 more minutes, and still pay full price for it. I waited an hour for the first one because wait times are now consistently an hour plus! Pizza quality, while using the same delicious ingredients, is now less than half as good, because nobody making the pizzas cares about what they are doing. Ordered a BBQ chicken pizza maybe 2 weeks ago (the 1 out of 3 orders I actually received) and it was disgusting. So much bbq sauce the entire crust was soggy and floppy. Why try and sell someone a pizza you would NEVER eat yourself? This place’s days are now numbered, I hope someone else buys it and...
Read moreOn August 22,2021 my husband & son tried repeatedly to call and place an order. They kept getting hung up on or it would ring twice and then disconnect or they would hear beeping noises. A couple of times they let the phone ring 12 times with no answer. And it was well before closing time, it was around 6 PM. They tried for about 45 minutes then gave up. I don't know WHAT THE HECK is going on at the Conneaut Lake location but needless to say unless their service and food improve immensely we will no longer be ordering from them. We will order and drive to Meadville to get our pizza etc..... from one of their competitors !!!!!!!! This is NOT the first time we have had issues with this location but we have been letting it slide because we usually LOVE their food and service. We live in the area and are here year round so we used to order at least once a month. We don't know if it is poor management or people not feeling like doing their job but we have had...
Read moreWe recently moved to the area and have been trying new places and Pizza Joes was on the menu a couple nights ago. I'm sorry to say it was terribly disappointing. We ordered a couple pizzas and they both had a frozen taste and texture. It legitimately tasted like I tossed a couple frozen pizzas into the oven. The mushrooms weren't fully cooked but somehow the peppers were soggy and the sausage seemed nonexistent.
The subs we got were decently tasty, unfortunately when I reached about 1/3 in I bit into the hard center of an unripe tomato slice. I get that it happens sometimes, someone's cutting tomatoes and an unripe boy falls in with the good ones and gets put on food. After biting into that it just put me off the rest of my meal.
On the plus side they have mini golf that looks like a fun time. We'll definitely come back to play a round or two but I think for now we'll be ordering our...
