Saginaw Old Town Junction — Restaurant in Saginaw

two weeks ago I ordered takeout on my way home from work. I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and the grilled cheese sandwich. "the Tony's way" With grilled onions and tomatoes with a side salad . When I got home, I opened up my sandwich and there was bacon in my grilled cheese. I called and I talked to the server that took my original order. She was very apologetic, I explained the situation and she put me on hold for a minute and she talked to the cook and yes, indeed they put bacon on my sandwich, even though that is not how I ordered it nor is it how it is on the menu. she said that's OK. I didn't charge you for it and I said no it's not OK. I'm a vegetarian. She told me I could bring it back into the restaurant and they would make me a new one. I explained that I live in Genesee County… I was picking up dinner for myself since my husband was out of town and I lived 45 minutes away. I told her I am not coming back to Saginaw. It would be another hour and a half trip. i did not want to eat dinner at 800pm. she was very apologetic, but said that that is their policy. I asked if I could leave my name and number for the owner to call and I have yet to hear anything. I understand this is your policy, but I would think that if they want the sandwich back, I could've brought it back the next day as I work in Saginaw, but I was not driving an hour and a half round-trip for a $13 sandwich. I would be paying that amount pretty much in gas very disappointed as normally i have a good...

Let me just start out by saying my girlfriend brought me here a couple months back for my first time and it is literally my number one favorite place to eat out in the Tri-Cities. Having said that I also would have thought that it'd be impossible to have a bad experience here but unfortunately it happened tonight. Every server we've ever had there has had the most bubbly Smiley personality they're amazing at their job but the server we got tonight we've never had before and she was far from Pleasant. I won't go into any more details about that but as far as the food is concerned I ordered a beef and cheddar and ask for extra cheese she brought out my sandwich with a cold piece of cheese on a plate so naturally I asked her to please take it back and have them melt the cheese on it as it's a hot sandwich. What I got back was a soggy microwaved $15 beef and cheddar that wouldn't have even held a candle to Arby's if you could believe that. I've ordered the sandwich several times and it's always been out of this world. Quite honestly I'm shocked that this was even allowed to leave the kitchen and furthermore that she was willing to serve it. If i could give this place zero stars, I would. The food has really gone down hill over the years. We used to come here all the time and my family chose to have my going away party here tonight. When I ordered a "Cuban sandwich" the waitress recommended (fun fact: nothing about this sandwich was cuban) it was absolutely disgusting. I took 2 bites and asked the waitress to send it back and take it off our bill because it made me lose my appetite. The sandwich was taken back to the kitchen and I was then told that there was nothing wrong with it and it would not be taken off the bill. So we paid for a sandwich that no one wanted to eat, who knows what they did to that sandwich while it was "taken back to the kitchen", and everyone got to leave the party pissed, never wanting to return. I've been to a lot of restaurants and I've worked at a lot of restaurants and never had this type of experience where the kitchen decides there's "nothing wrong with it".No manager in sight, we are long time customers and will not be back. I'm sure this establishment could care less about this review but if it saves someone from the same experience then it was worth...
