Strange experience. My group’s food came out at all different times. Another gal in my group ordered the same dip as me, the red pepper goat cheese dip. Except mine came out first and her’s came out last, when everyone was finishing their meals. Her dip looked and tasted completely different than mine. Mine had no goat cheese flavor and was gritty, but her’s was creamy and had noticeable goat cheese flavor. I usually never speak up but $14 for a dip that seemed to be the wrong thing I ordered is a total bummer. Everyone in the group agreed they most likely accidentally gave me the hummus instead. So I asked our server, Charles, if they may have accidentally gave me the hummus. He barely looked at them and said, “nope, your’s is the goat cheese too.” I said, “oh, well just the texture and taste is a lot different than her’s?” Hoping he may take another look. He continued to say they’re the same, just came out of different containers? I did not eat the dip, just snacked on the bread that came with it, which was delicious. But not worth $14. 😅 I did enjoy the firecracker shrimp, great flavor. Wish the issue had a better resolve. All of our dips came out cold as well? Maybe it was our fault for assuming these would be warm. Photos of the visibly different dips below.

This place is awesome. The name is fitting, as there are plenty of throwback memorabilia, particularly '80s. Our server Donna was so friendly, and made great suggestions for drinks. The menu items are quite expensive but very much worth it! My wife ordered the Cuban pork with asparagus, yellow rice, and fried plantains. I had the Jamaican jerk steak with rice and pine nuts. Both were fantastic! These were the kind of dishes that were made with love and care. And their drinks were amazing too. My wife got a mango Moscow mule, and I had an old-fashioned made with Woodford Reserve. Like I said, very expensive but for an anniversary dinner, I thought it was worth it. Perhaps a place to revisit on a future anniversary.

A hidden gem, for sure, with the best food in the Great Lakes Bay area. You can tell people that until you're blue in the face, but no one believes it until they try it for themselves. It's very entertaining when friends give in and tell us they're going for the fist time because we know exactly what texts are coming a couple hours later lol It doesn't seem like the kind of place that would be this awesome, so I used to beg people to try it, just to be sure they'd stay open. Now I have mixed feelings about our favorite spot catching on because it makes it more difficult to walk in to an open table at dinner time on Friday or Saturday, but it's just too good to keep a secret!

We were there on Aug 24, 2024, it was our first time eating here. After being seated in the dinning area with a mini landing area/bar nook of sorts our waitress introduced herself and we mentioned it was our first time there. Our bill totaled $104.41 not including tip. My wife and I each ordered a drink and the Crab Cheese appetizer. The appetizer seemed more like Crab Rangoon than what I thought Crab Cheese would be. For dinner my wife ordered woodfired grilled crab legs and I ordered woodfired grilled Moroccan lamb, which comes with one quartered pita. We were a bit frustrated with the wait of at least 20 minutes for the appetizer. When we did receive our appetizer, our entrees were served within 10 minutes after the appetizer. The portion of the crab was excellent, the portions of the lamb is good, however, could be better if served with 2 quartered pitas, not just one; taste was excellent for all food items. I ate the pita wrapped over cut up pieces of lamb and dip sauce. I ran out of pita with plenty of meat still on my plate. Our waitress eventually checked up on us but not before I ran out of pita. I asked for another pita and she acknowledged me. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to remind her of the pita I had asked for. I then received the extra pita shortly after. This pita was cut into 8 pieces and was challenging to wrap over the lamb. We were frustrated again waiting 20 minutes to cash out and asked a different waitress for food boxes and our tab. Our waitress had misplaced our tab because she thought she had alread given it to us, however, hadn't. We feel the meals would be well rounded if they came with a potato or salad. Was hoping to give a 5 star review, however, just couldn't, due to a bit of...

I loved the vibe from the moment I walked in. Waited a short time for a table. Someone took a drink order right away and I said I wanted a minute to look over the alcohol menu and started with water. When first drinks came we put in an appetizer (crab cheese) Never got asked about getting anything else to to drink. Waited about 20 minutes to put our dinner order in. Thought we'd been forgotten entirely for a bit. Crab cheese was nothing special. About 2x what I'd pay for typical crab rangoon take out and less flavor. Would not get it again.

When dinner came I was not expecting much based on the appetizer and service but we were all really impressed with what we got. Orange chicken was perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The pork tenderloin was absolutely incredible, moist and well seasoned with great accoutrements. Burger and fries were very well executed, which turned around my opinion. Then we got forgotten and ignored again and waited over 20 minutes to pay once we were done and wanted to leave, ultimately having to pester the bar staff so we could continue with our evening, and had to ask repeatedly about to go boxes.

I will give this place another try based on the dinner entrees, which were incredibly good. Unfortunately the service was incredibly bad. Not what you expect from something in this price range, certainly. It was somewhat busy when we came in but it quickly emptied out after so aside from a large party in the other room they didn't appear super busy for the bulk of our time there. There we times we even made a point to wave and make eye contact with people going by our table and they seemed to make a point of not...

To say our visit was a disaster would be an understatement. We arrived on a Friday night, they were very busy, the 4 of us were seated promptly. So far so good. Our drink order placed, and delivered timely. Ordered appetizers, they arrived and were delicious. That was the end of anything that resembled a “normal experience.” We then ordered food. Keep in mind we are sitting at the bar, so we can see everything going on. Our waitress along with other waitresses, poured shots like they were for a customer, then they would walk to the end of the bar, crouch down and slam the shot. This may explain why we waited over an hour for food that never arrived. After 30 minutes we asked what was taking so long, she explained they were busy and backed up. Then another 10 minutes, we asked again, she said “you’re is up next.” As we saw other food roll out of the kitchen… another 15 minutes we questioned it. She told us that we’re indeed next and they cook 3 meals at once, whatever the hell that means. After another 10 minutes or so, we asked for our bill - seeing we’re headed to the Dow for an event. She said don’t bother and didn’t charge us for the few drinks we had. The place was nice, they food I smelled and gawked at as it passed looked good as well, that was as close to dinner as I...
