My wife has driven past this wonderful little gem many times before our first visit tonight. We figured it was the perfect day to stop by, and we were definitely impressed. From the appetizer sampler of fried southern delights with their delicious bistro sauce, to the shockingly tasty sweet potato fries...it was all amazing. From the pictures, you can see that we had a sampling of many of the offerings. Baby back ribs, chicken, rib tips, greens (Mom said they were fantastic), Mac and cheese, baked beans, and those sneaky sweet potato fries. Everything was well seasoned, came out hot, and there was plenty of it. With a comfortable 'at-home' atmosphere and friendly service, this is definitely worth the visit.

If your driving, STOP! Do not miss this place. Your not walking into a fine dinning restaurant. What your walking into is a hidden gem! Knock out, stuff your face, can't stop til its gone kind of food! Excellent service by the servers! Hats off to the peeps in the kitchen! Start off with cold tap beers, then let the feast begin! You had me at HELLO with the 5 cheese mack, then omg them greens, ooh wait til the ribs and brisket enter their final destination! Savored every last bite. Only tip I have is the 🍞, ummm why? If your going to put it in that delish mix of heaven, give it some 💘! Garlic butter toast, a toasted bun! Way to go On Q, I will be back along with many others!

First time trying On Q. We got takeout...smoked sausage plate and rib plate. First thing I see when I get this home is a moldy bun. How can you miss that? Pretty unappetizing. Sausage was equivalent to those prepackaged ones you get at the supermarket. Ribs were obviously sitting for a while. Collard greens were ok. Mac and cheese was good. They were out of a couple things, items on menu they don't make anymore. I ordered around 5:30pm and wondering if this is more of a lunch place since they close so early (7pm). Regardless, I won't be trying it again.

We've been here a few times now, and noticed that on some occasions the service can be iffy. The food is alright, and can range from good, to.. not. Prices are comparable to other places, but at the time of this review there's no "all you can eat" option. Meat: Pulled chicken is always decent, and is lightly coated with sauce. I've had the rib tips, which were delicious the first time I tried them, and absolutely dried out the last time that I tried them. (very disappointing). Fries - the fries come seasoned, and they tend to be way over salted.. I'm perfectly capable of putting my own salt on my fries. To salt fried as heavily as they do in the kitchen there, is unnecessary and completely ruins the flavor. The seating inside and out is nice, although the place itself is small, it usually has enough tables. nThe atmosphere outside is nice, whereas inside it's very basic. The last time we were there, we noticed that the staff were slow to clean the tables, only doing it when someone else came to sit down... not a nice atmosphere to sit in. Something else we noticed was the trash that was left under the tables, napkins plastic forks etc, which we thought was a bad indication of the overall hygiene. Also on our last visit the service was not just slower than usual, but downright sloppy. The server brought the food out and then completely disappeared until we had finished eating and she came to collect the plates, no drink refills were offered until this point and at no time during the time we were eating did she come and check on us. That basically took the enjoyment out of the experience, especially as the rib tips were dry and the fries so over salted that I couldn't eat them. I did comment about the fries and the service to the owner at the checkout, he apologized, but by that time it was really too late. We would probably go back one more time just to see if it was worth giving another chance, but it would be a decider on whether it was time for us to try another barbeque instead... there are a lot of other choices...

I ordered on the website and once I called about my order concerns, found out through the owner, Willy "sometimes that's not accurate". I ordered their lemon cake and was given chocolate, which isn't even on the menu.

The chicken sandwich was pre-formed and mechanically processed which tasted HORRIBLE. The fries were some generic version of Sysco fries and nothing was homemade, including the pre-made dry waffles for the chicken and waffles.

This makes the prices even more laughable and downright offensive.

I called politely to speak to someone about a refund for the cake that was wrong and the fact that I had to throw half my meal away because I couldn't force feed myself any longer. We were raised up not to waste food but it was getting caught in my throat.

Willy not only didn't care, he said he didn't know how to refund me for the cake because I ordered it online, he said he would then refund me if/when I decide to get on my car and bring back the wrong item first so he could refund me (which he already said he didn't know how to do).

He refused multiple times, raised his voice and told me that I could come in and "show him" how to give me a partial refund otherwise "there's nothing I can do."

I said we'd never be back and he hung up.

**bottom line: if you want Tyson chicken or generic Costco food, save your money and buy it directly. If this man cares about his business ever, that time is long gone. He doesn't deserve our money or yours; ESPECIALLY at those prices. The only positive in this situation was the sweet lady who...

We have been eating at On Q for years. Food is always top notch and in my opinion, the best Bar-B-Q in Florida. We drive an hour to get there and we go on special occasions. However, this is not a fast food restaurant (thank God) and if you are looking for that, go somewhere else. Because of there food being so good, at times there are a lot of customers and too few waitresses to handle the rush, it ebbs and flows and I understand that is how it is. If they have too many waitresses and a slow time, then the waitresses are not making money. I find and believe the waitresses are doing the best they can. Yes, if you go late, they are going to be out of somethings, just like Sonny’s and other places. The owner is an awesome person and has always had time to talk and listen when we did have a question. I don’t understand the bad reviews. But I see this in any reviews I read on anything. One person says whatever it is, is the greatest thing since sliced bread and the next says it is the worst whatever it is, is the worst thing ever. While no business is perfect, I think some people just enjoy running products or businesses down. I have written a couple of bad reviews (now if you want bad Barbecue try those two places) In years of eating at On Q, we may have had a couple of average meals, all of the others would be 5 Stars, six if I could. My only complaint is the small tea glasses and extremely small to go cups. I do wish they had tea glasses and to go cups the...
