Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Paul

Today, I had the worst experience in a coffee shop, Caribou. I was using the toilet. Someone pounded (not gently knocked) on the door. I thought something bad happened. I got out and asked who pounded on the door. A lady behind the counter told me she did. When I asked why she pounded instead of knocking, she told me there were people waiting. I asked to see the manager, and her reasoning was worse as she was telling me that they do this because there were people using drugs in the toilet. It is not a written rule, as she stated. I understand knocking on the door regardless, but pounding and being oblivious about it makes me feel bad. I hope that is not also the unconscious bias because I am not a Caucasian. I reported this incident to the headquarters of the company. I know these incidents will keep happening, but I also believe that there is a better way to do this without upsetting or...

Yeah I was here last week the counter girl. She was very cordial and customer service oriented. I ordered a blended turtle with white and milk chocolate. I got a regular turtle coffee turtle and I explained to the lady that this is supposed to be blended. Then she caught an attitude and was huffing and puffing. She ended up making my drink the correct way but it was all sloppies. It was dripping out the sides. It was over blended and it just seemed like she had caught an attitude cuz she messed up my order. I mean how do you catch an attitude when you are the one that messed up the order and so because of that I will never go to that Caribou ever again and corporate or her supervisor needs to talk to her about customer service. Interesting location..

Slow service to order but friendly, not too long of a wait for my drink.

Weird set up for chairs and tables inside, feels cramped and uncomfortable.

Outside seating was very very nice.

Lots of parking but entrance is kind of tricky so you don't really see any of the parking spots until you pull in.

Overall fine experience. I will probably not go again unless someone invited me out to that location again.

However, I'm not a big coffee drinker to begin with so I don't frequent coffee shops often. I may go here again if I were a...
