I’ve been searching for places that accommodate for gluten free diets in the area and stumbled upon Red Rabbit. I decided to come here because it’s really hard to find authentic Italian that has gluten free options- they had quite a few! For pasta I had the gluten free Cavatelli- it was delicious, perfectly seasoned and slightly indulgent, nicely portioned. But the really impressive thing to me was the service. The gluten free noodles took a little longer than normal ones- and either a manager or an owner checked in with me a few times to let me know that it was taking a bit because they wanted to assure that it was gluten free, and when it was ready she delivered it to me! I had ordered pizza for an appetizer and a few minutes after placing said order, I realized I had forgotten to tell our lovely waitress that I needed it gluten free. I was able to flag down a different manager or the owner who was walking around getting drinks for people, and told him about my mistake- I felt terrible! Fortunately they were able to save it, bless their hearts, and the chef who made it came out and hand delivered it to me, saying it was specially made gluten free just for me. And it was DELICIOUS. I got a half mushroom, half sausage for my partner. The mushroom pizza was legitimately the best pizza I have ever had- the garlic cream sauce and the dollops of chèvre, was beyond perfection. Everything was just fantastic. My waitress was Sophia C, she was very personable and attentive. I’d also just like to commend the chef who came out, I didn’t grab his name but he was a redhead/strawberry blonde with a beard, and the two mangers/owners who really cared about the experience. I felt very comfortable eating here, and very taken care of by the staff; they really seemed like they respected my dietary restrictions and keeping me safe, being that I am gluten free and will get sick if I eat it (which I didn’t after I ate here). Highly recommend, whether you’re gluten...
Read moreI have been to the North Loop establishment many times for dinner and since they share the same menu, I decided to try some new items this time. The Saint Paul location is just as good, and seems to be less crowded as well, which made it easier for me to enjoy my first brunch experience in Red Rabbit! Of course, their pasta is their staple food, but other kinds are great as well! The monkey bread had just the right amount of sweetness and the caramel was just the cherry on top, and the only disadvantage was that it was not soft enough, especially the crust, which was hard. My friend ordered the burrata. She loved it so much that she ordered another one. I had the family's favorite pizza as well, per my server's recommendation. Initially I wanted to get the Margherita pizza and I should have sticked to it. But I want to make it clear that it was not because family's favorite pizza itself was bad. I am just not a pepperoni pizza person, but rather a marinara or Margherita person when it comes to pizza. The family's favorite pizza had great ingredients, from the house sausage to the green olives, and I could definitely see how many Americans could love it. It was a classic American pizza. But next time I will get Margherita, the classic Italian pizza, instead. The avocado toast is amazing, with a good amount of eggs and avocado. It was much larger than I expected, too, which was a plus. The Italian grinder sandwich was spicy for me and very flavorful. Finally, I have written this for the North Loop location before, but the sticky toffee cake is one of my favorite desserts, if not my favorite dessert, from anywhere in the Twin Cities, so whenever I visit Red Rabbit, that one is just a must have! Overall, the Saint Paul location is a hit as well, and because it seems to be less crowded, people will have a great time here without worrying about waiting for too long, at least for...

Oysters 🦪 half a dozen at MP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very good. Came with mignonette, hot sauce & cocktail sauce. Good quality, fresh & delish.
$14 Calamari • marinara, tartar sauce, & lemon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pretty darn good. Little salty, little black peppery, could use a few more minutes in the fryer for the batter, but, of course we don’t want the calamari to be overcooked. Probably some of the best calamari I’ve had. Would certainly order again. The tartar sauce was perfect 👌🏽
$19.50 Lasagna • ricotta, bolognese, pecorino, pinwheels ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The bolognese to ricotta ratio was excessive in my pinion, I like me a lil more ricotta. The flavor profile was a little one noted due to this, more bolognese & overly priced Chef Boyardee-ish. Good, but eh. Cheese & meat. Give me more.
Service • ⭐️⭐️ Eh. Mediocre. It took her a hot minute just to bring us waters. I know this isn’t her policy, but, I wanted an “ZERO PROOF NA Ginger Spritz.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but NA means “non-alcoholic..” welp, I was denied & said she would need to check my ID. Considering I didn’t drive this day, I hadn’t brought my ID. She offered to bring the manager over to which I declined knowing I’d probably become more agitated. But, (see included photo in my review), how is this beverage listed as ZERO PROOF with all caps followed by “NA” & still required identification? This isn’t the reason for the low rating. She barely checked in on us & her head seemed to be in the clouds.
Ambiance • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been to RR before & it’s pretty cute. Parking isn’t terrible. I’d go again & try other items...
