So I am Saint Paul born and bread I remember the coffee cup on Rice Street that unfortunately burnt down. Coming from a mixed family a lot of my Mexican so I did not get the American Staples of roast beef roast stew and this is where they went to get it healthy beautiful portions wonderful service. Now they have moved to Randolph and Hamline now I don’t know if they think They are in a different ZIP Code that we have more money with less expectation, but we don’t. I went there last Friday and bought my husband a wonderful breakfast burrito that probably weigh 5 pounds. They could add more vegetables, but it was bacon ham and sausage. He liked it. I had to add a little bit of veg. then I got my normal hashbrowns with onions and green pepper which normally weighs about 2 pounds. I just add my own tomatoes because I like fresh tomatoes not cooked. Wonderful service happy with the price happy with the product. I go back this Sunday to get an order of hashbrowns and onions because I had tomatoes at home once again, but my husband was cooking fish and I don’t eat fish. I get there and I get 1/4, one forth of the portion I just had this last Friday two days ago. I noticed how late my bag was so I To speak to the waitress and she was talking to somebody else in Arabic, which I don’t understand, but my niece does and I wish she was there with me and then I told her this is not a normal portion. I pulled out a picture from last Friday because I showed a friend the wonderful food that I got from. The establishment to where she called her and said that that was not a normal order and now this is the normal order of hashbrowns when you order them separate not as An eight dollar order of hashbrowns you get 1/4 of what you did two days ago. I spoke to a few people around the neighborhood and they said they have new owners so I want everybody to be aware Things are going to be changing at this location. They think because they are in Highland Park Krokus Hill that they can swindle us Is how they call it in Arabic. I have deep family roots in the air nations and this is a sin. So I’m just letting everybody know to beware.. The coffee cup is not the same coffee cup that Saint Paul has grown up on from the rRice Street owners. We’re talking about potatoes and onions for goodness sakes. I didn’t ask for no extra meat. I didn’t ask for no extra eggs. We know how expensive eggs are. I’m talking about potatoes and...
Read moreI’m so disappointed in this place ! Being the fact this was one of my favorite restaurants to go to , but that has change due to the horrible and Disgusting Experience that I had Last week. Me and a couple of my family members went out for breakfast or coffee cup I was the last person to receive my food right when I receive my food before the waitress can even put my plate down i saw long black string of hair. The waitress automatically apologize for it and took my plate and about literally three minutes later she returned with another plate in stated that it was not the same plate I found that crazy because how can he make a new plate within 3 mins. But I took her word and I trust it what she said being the fact that we come here frequently. When I get my second new plate there was another piece of hair in my food so I called the waitress over again and before I can even say something she looked at the plate and she apologized and then I asked to speak to the manager she went back to go get the manager shortly later she came back to my table and stated that the manager said he’s not gonna be able to come talk to me due to the fact that he’s cooking I found that very very rude and disrespectful being the fact that now once but twice there was Hair in my food and management didn’t even think it was necessary for him to come talk to me the next best thing they did for me was give me my food for free. Even though I got the food for free I still was not satisfied my appetite was officially gone and my favorite meal which was the cajun breakfast I was no longer my favorite. I will not be going to this place ever again. I understand mistakes happen before it to happen twice in for it to be here and management didn’t even have the audacity to come speak to me just showed the lack of respect that they have for...
Read moreRice St. - Low pressure...big portions..seat yourself and enjoy! update7/2/22- it's long sorry. New location on Randolph (former Copper Dome). The restaurant looks great. The food is good, portions are smaller than the Rice St. location. There were plenty of people inside. The problem with the new spot, that I have experienced is that it's freezing cold. I've been 3 times and each time is the same. The AC is blowing strong and cold. Easily 15+ degrees colder than outside. All surfaces are cold to the touch. Everything. Eat quick is my advice if you enjoy a hot meal. Today I asked for crispy bacon and what I got seemed like old dried out slightly burned bacon from the bottom of the bacon pile most diners keep during breakfast. My friend's eggs were made incorrectly and the waitress, who was walking away overheard her say that her eggs were not right, over easy instead of poached. The waitress came back and took the plate, agreeing that the eggs were wrong. Now, I don't know who got mad at whom in the kitchen, but my friend had to wait over 20 minutes! For eggs! My wife and I were nearly finished when the waitress brought back my friends plate. Everything was ice cold, except the eggs. It's like the just left the plate wherever while poaching those 20+ minute eggs. They should have remade the plate since the eggs took so long to come out. Doubtful that I will go back. But if I go do, I'll bring a jacket or sweater and for sure NOT send my food back. My friend's meal was taken off the bill, by the waitress who never came back to our table nor to the register. No real apology. Service failure, too bad.
Kinda on the plus size with the AC so cold none of the many flies in the front window could fly. So,...
