Dao Thai Pho — Restaurant in Saint Paul

Boat noodle was good and not grainy. Portion size was on the smaller side compared to other restaurants but enough to fill you. Instead of lime, it was served with herbs and lemon on the side.

Thai style papaya salad was bland and they skimped out on all the ingredients like tomatoes and beans. There was only a few pieces. It came out looking more like Lao style.

Drunken noodle was mediocre. The noodles were not cooked thoroughly and hard to swallow. We were really looking forward to this dish but unfortunately it just didn't hit.

Beef Larp is one of my favorite dish to eat and I order it everywhere I go. Once again, this did not hit. Flavor was there but too light. The nice thing is that it comes with rice but instead of sticky rice or Jasmin rice, it came with basmati rice. The beef was not grounded nor sliced. It was in small chunks which I also thought was a little weird.

Cream Cheese Wontons is just your basic Wontons. It was good but the sauce was extremely watered down.

The pho there is great, really flavourful, and there are more options than I've previously gotten before for things to add to my pho. The pad Tai, however, was slightly less good, little flavourful, slightly bland, kore peanut flavour would be appreciated. The spice was great, and the portion was very good as well. The price for the items isn't unreasonable, and for two people, you can expect to spend 40 dollars, so it's not amazing but not the worst either.
