Around 5:40pm on May 19th, we ordered food and paid for with a $20 bill. The "manager" offered to keep the bill but then decided to give us an ultimatum to either "destroy the bill or he will call the cops." He literally told us to rip up the bill or he will report us to the police. He did not show us where he used a tester pen or how he came up to surmise that this was a fake bill... even when the watermark, holographic 20, and security strip were in tact. I even offered to show him another bill that was sequential to it in serial numbers.
He was abrasive, he was rude and crass. After explaining that we would be willing to be contacted by the police to curb fraudulent bills, he was still very much abrasive. He refused to give his his name saying that this was store policy to not do so, even when on the receipt the cashier's name was posted. I asked what the difference was and again he was abrasive and just said it was policy. Not only that, he did not give us our change until we asked for it. With cigarettes hanging from his front pocket he dug for his own change and nonchalantly handed me the change.
Throughout the altercation I believe I was calm and not patronizing, I asked legitimate questions and was only met with a patronizing tone. I believe said manager wanted to call our bluff or threaten us. I believe that any decent human being, let alone working people, would have handled this situation in a much clearer and calm-headed manner; not give ultimatums and refuse basic questions. I even offered to stay and for him to call the correct authorities so we can get a "fake" bill off the streets. I also believe that anyone would have explained the situation and that would have been that; not make demands and offer no explanations in such a crude manner. I have called Wendy's headquarters to report the incident but understand that this is a franchise and ownerships are different. I will follow up with corporate within a few days if I do not hear back. I believe that I am due an apology and the worker should go under investigation and Wendy's policy over handling suspected fake bills should be a company-wide standard which upholds respect and integrity of the workplace and services to customers.
If the policy of Wendy's reflect this manager's mannerisms then I believe that Wendy's has much much further to go in customer service and extending basic human dignity to others. I welcome any management to discuss this...
Read moreI don't know if it was that day, or not, but I ordered 20 piece nuggets to go for my babies and that's what I usually get for them before I come home after a long days of work when I'm too tired to cook on those days and the staff's are usually nice. But for some reason on that day I got laughed and treated like a fool by employee's and the manager. The manager he said that they don't do 20 nuggets that they only do 10. Then I asked " Isn't that the same thing, just ordering two tens pieces of nuggets separately?" Then they all laughed at me like a fool, cause I can hear them laughing and pointing at me like a bunch of immature people, I was told that they don't do that and tried to talk to me in a belittle way. Then I said "Fine! Just give me two ten pieces of nuggets only, no meal." Then hearing them laugh even harder and was told that I had to get the meal combo to receive the nuggets, so I got frustrated and drove off. What a bunch of immature kids, I hope they train their employee's and managers better. I don't even stop there anymore, because of those staff, I rather drive a little further to stop somewhere else to get food for my babies. I'm not going back there after they tried to treated me...
Read moreOMG!!! We were on our way to Gooseberry and my daughter has to pee. We decided to take a stop at this Wendy's so that she can pee and I could get some coffee for the remainder of the trip. My wife ran in with our daughter and also order a coffee for me. It took her about 10 minutes before she came out with the coffee. I was already feeling frustrated that it took so long for an order of coffee. BTW there was only one other customer in there before my wife. When my wife finally came out and handed me the coffee the cup was cold. I asked my wife if the coffee was cold, she said "I don't know, I don't think so...". Unfortunately it was cold! She went back in there to get a fresh cup only to have them need to make a while new vat of coffee and made her wait as it fill the entire container before they would fill the small cup. Needless to say 20 minutes later, we were finally on the road again. So much for "fast" food service. Common sense would have filled the cup to satisfy the customer and fill the rest of the glass container after the cup was filled. I love the taste of their food but their service is F*ing garbage in just about every Wendy's...
