This place cracks me up, it's like a customer service training video on what not to do. This is the first place of where we were told "why?!" When we said "thank you" to the cashier upon leaving with our items.
And it's really not you if you find the cashiers sucking their teeth at you and don't utter a word throughout the transaction. It's them, I really think a majority of them are allergic to being nice.
We've also learned over the past few years that the items fluctuate in pricing. Earlier this year we bought a 55" tv for $850 the next few days we went back to get another one the price jumped to $999.99. There is no price match here, only a "I think we priced it wrong when it went out onto the floor". Same thing happened for a ottoman we purchased. We got it for $99, we decided again to get a second one and found the price jumped to $299. So lesson learned here, is that if you like it and it looks reasonably priced, it is probably due to human error, so buy it now before they catch the mistake. Also make sure you check expiration dates, they don't care if you take expired items or items a few days away from hitting those dates.
The worst part of this store is the to go food counter. Beware of the undercooked grey meat and if you complain about your fries being cold be prepared to get a stinky look. The best was a few days ago the hubby asked 3 employees lined up (back behind the counter doing NOTHING )if they were going to give us our order and the response was a stare back and the cashier going off on them and still no order.
What's scary about all of this is that pricesmart isn't that bad in comparison to other grocery stores so imagine of what you'll get to deal...
Read moreI would give a negative 1 for customer service.
First time at Price Mart. (I went 8/11 around 12:30)
Could not use EBT card because it was from out of state. Manager was extremely rude; she only turned her head around to speak to me. She refused to take my credit card because it did not match the name on membership card. Cashier did not offer nor suggest any solutions; I had to keep asking questions. They were willing, however, to take my cash.
VISITORS STAY AWAY; LOCALS YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF! Membership should be to a household, not an individual. Also payments that are not accepted should be clearly posted on doors, by cashiers and policy should be known by cashier's to help customers. Managers need customer service training.
I would not go back. Food is good, but will shop somewhere else that offers but good food and good...
Read moreAs a business customer I hate having to do a negative review. However the service has gotten worse over the years. There is no employee empowerment and the corporate policies are just NOT customer appreciative!
I renewed my card online and though it showed the new expiration date on the app I was stopped 6 times since each time needing a supervisor to override. Completely inconvenienced 6 times.
Then now even having the app that requires a password you are asked to get show ID. That now negates the convenience of the app!
I’m seriously considering not renewing my membership after so many years as shopping there is just not pleasing.
PriceSmart is simply horrible when it comes to customer service. While Cost U Less will manage the lines when it is busy here is simply jo...
