My experience at The Shack in Hulls Bay was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, perfect for a beachside hangout.

Excellent location and set up! Love the ambiance of the beach and the outdoor restaurant space — fairy lights, beach umbrellas, swings, a covered bar, and food truck setup — very relaxed and fun. Our group ordered a few pizzas for sharing, fried, snail fritters, fish tacos, and desserts. The pizzas were average but came out pretty quickly. The fish tacos were great but took a little longer to make, the fish was fresh and flaky, and the toppings complimented them well. The conch fritters were interesting but not mind-blowing — crunch fritter with a light fishy taste and a gooey interior. The side of fries was well-seasoned and had a good texture. Of the desserts, the tempura cheesecake was novel and delicious — it’s a regular slice of cheesecake but deep fried so you end up with a warm and melty texture inside and crunch outside. We stayed at a nearby cottage so The Shack was a “no-brainer” to patronize, considering all the positive reviews we had heard about it.

Drinks were phenomenal! The Heatwave and Cucumber Crush cocktails were my favorite for our multiple visits to the establishment.

The food was amazing! Those fish tacos were to die for, the mahi bites were big and flavorful, the seasoned fries were crispy and just perfect. The conch fritters were also a favorite of ours.

The entire grounds of the establishment were thoughtfully planned out, and it really vibed with the island attitude. The last night we visited, they even showed a Disney movie on a blow up widescreen for the kids to watch, to give their parents a little more “breathing room” to relax and enjoy the moment.
