OMG! My wife and I had the Chicken Saj tonight, and it was The best thing I’ve ever had.I’ll be honest, I’ve been to checkpoint 221 multiple times and was always timid when it came to Middle Eastern food just because I’ve never had it before. But tonight after reading all the reviews I went for it and I’m so glad I did. The sauce was an explosion in my mouth, the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly, the veggies were fresh and crunchy just how you would want. Also the owner was super friendly and misheard my order because it was kind of loud by the freeway. She served me rice instead of fries and reluctantly I went back and she had me keep the rice free of charge and cooked me fresh French fries. Love love love the food!!!! The owner is super kind and friendly and welcoming and always seems happy to be there. The food is incredible, I keep thinking I find my favorite dish and then I try another one and fall in love with that one! The seasonings are just right, the meat is NEVER dry always juicy and never overcooked, the rice has flavor and even when you have leftovers and heat it up later everything holds up nothing dries out or loses quality so if you can’t eat the huge full portion in one sitting you will have just as good quality of a meal later. I’ve delivered DoorDash for this amazing food cart several times & was surprised to see it was always the same lovely lady working!

So I had to check it out, and I was not disappointed. The lamb sajj plate was absolutely delicious! Don’t forget the spicy sauce, it’s a major game changer 🤤
