Ordered the lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma, and the vegan falafel shawarma—plus three orders of fries. Little did I know, I’d be getting a surprise fourth order stuffed inside my lamb shawarma like some sort of greasy piñata. Pro tip: if you have to load up the wrap with fries to hide the lack of lamb, maybe just don’t put it on the menu?
The vegan falafel shawarma was a fun little contradiction—advertised as vegan but generously topped with tzatziki and feta. Apparently, dietary restrictions are just suggestions here. At least they had the decency not to cram it full of fries.
The chicken shawarma (for a toddler) also escaped the "fries-as-filler" treatment, so I guess the chicken meal gets more respect than the lamb wrap I paid real money for.
$60 later, I left with an over-salted potato bomb and a firm decision to never come back. If I wanted a bag of fries, I would’ve just ordered a bag of fries.
Trash, just save your time and money. Many other options...
Read moreThis had nothing to do with Greek food. The falafel I had was dry, not fluffy, not even green inside, had literally no flavor. I threw it away. The gyro I had was very anemic. It was put together like a taco or something and the amount of things was totally out of balance. There were five small pieces of meat, mainly chopped lettuce and far too much, no roasted eggplant, no slices of red onion, not nearly enough tzatziki and just the highest dusting of feta. Middle eastern food is love, and it's abundance. The spanokapita were not bad. They were a quarter of the size they should be so it didn't feel very family friendly. It was all expensive and even though I was before six people, I had to wait the longest. Fresh falafels only take 5 minutes to cook fresh. Go to someone who is of the origin they're cooking the food. All my friends are and two out of three had finished before I got it. Expensive, not good and I waited 35...
Read moreThis was the food truck in Silverton. Showed up at noon and the guy working there was busy eating in the food truck where customers food is prepared. Not sure if that is legal? So he put down his food and took our order. My wife wanted the salad with chicken. She said the chicken tasted okay and the sauce on it but it was piled on a bed of tired looking iceberg or romaine lettuce. She was not impressed. She concluded the gyros probably are made the same way. Was really hoping for a decent Greek food truck...
