I just ate here yesterday, I had the garlic chicken, Kahlua pork with a double side of Mac. my wife had the teriyaki chicken with the side of double Mac. the kalua pork was cooked perfectly, not too wet not dry it was perfect and with just the right amount of cabbage and seasoning. the garlic chicken was out of this world crispy on the outside and tender on the inside not overwhelming amount of garlic. I tried my wife's teriyaki chicken and it was probably the best teriyaki chicken I've ever had. that seems weird to say because it's never a dish that stands out to me. perfectly grilled and tender I'll definitely be adding it to my plate next time also. this was hands down the best Hawaiian mixed plate I've had in Oregon. they're only two plates that I've had this good ever... a place down in Torrance that I can't recall the name of and a place on the North shore called Papa ole's. if you haven't tried Holoholo Island grill yet, be prepared to break the mouth! it's awesome. It was my first time visiting them in Turner they just recently moved back there from 13th Street. they don't have any markings on their brand new truck yet but it's a red one at the food lot right there at the old tow company. definitely worth the trip I would definitely grab extra to take home, The leftovers are...

Their food? A 10 out of 10. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and the roast with gravy and OMG — everything was absolutely delicious. The portions are HUGE, and the flavors were rich, comforting, and full of aloha.
We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, and she is just a beautiful soul. We had such a lovely conversation about Hawaii and walked away not only full, but also with a deeper appreciation for the culture behind the food.
I got lucky and tried a sample of the poke (after I had already ordered), and I’m not exaggerating — it was my favorite bite of the day. I’ll definitely be ordering that next time!
There are a lot of Hawaiian food options out there, but this is the one you don’t want...
Read moreActual rating is a 4.5 What a great little spot! This is not your average Hawaiian place. I got the curry beef and my wife got the teriyaki chicken and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The curry beef was stewed and had a nice light curry sauce with carrots and potatoes. The mac salad on the side was phenomenal and the rice was plentiful and properly cooked. I tasted the teriyaki chicken and it was nicely smoked, cooked perfectly, and had a light teriyaki sauce glazed over with some charred bits on each piece. The only complaint I have is that a couple of the stewed beef pieces were slightly dry, but the rest were great. Overall a great experience. Expect good portion sizes. I think it came out to $30 total for both plates. Not too shabby. I definitely recommend checking...
