We ate in ,we split a cheeseburger with a salad and a side of sweet potato fries. The food was fine, good size sides. However my chocolate milk was $3.25 for the tiniest glass Iâve ever had in a restaurant, and the waitresses never came by to see if we wanted anything else, nor did we see them go to anyoneâs table after delivering a meal, no interaction at all.. I probably wouldnât go back..lunch split with the extra fry and milk was $31 with a $6 tip,but she sure didnât earn it. So yesterday we ended back in Turner here again, ordered exactly the same thing only this time I had the burger and my friend ordered the warm chicken sandwich. Again the food was fine, I took home 1/2 the burger and a few of the fries. The milk had gone up to $3.49 so I passed on that . But yet again the service was non existent, it wasnât even noon, maybe 4 tables had 2 people in when we walked in. The server was great, but once again when we received our food she never once came back to see if we needed more water ,or anything else, the takeout container was cracked and I could barely get it to stay closed. $24 for a burger, side salad and we split the cost of a very tiny side of fries what were...
Read moreThe food is REALLY good!! You can tell they put a lot of effort into preparing your food. Everything seems to be made from scratch; that gravy for the biscuits was delicious. One of the dishes ordered was the Fathers Day special, a big steak with eggs, that was a "BIG" steak. One personal preference, the steak could have used a more crunchy crust. We also ordered the TFD, loaded with delicious roasted veggies, and smothered on top with that gravy... WOW!!! đđđ. The whole place is very nice, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, very comfortable. The service was going great until we felt a little bit ignored, waiting for someone to come by and ask if we wanted more coffee. The girl serving us did so, but not before first offering coffee refills to a bigger table next to us that actually had come in about 30 minutes after we did. Some people take notice of those little details. And I never got the jam for my toasts that she offered.
Overall, it was a great experience. We are looking forward to going back soon for the pancakes and burgers... oooh yes, and the cinnamon rolls. THANK YOU, Anny, for the recommendation. See you at the...
Read moreTurnaround Cafe was a great, worthwhile meal. I ordered based on the waitresses feedback. Cinnamon roll with maple icing, Lumberman breakfast: chicken fried steak, country potatoes, 2 eggs, and bakery style toast. I ordered coffee with cream and a side of limp(soft) bacon. I split the meal for a to go portion for my spouse who was not present. Coffee was hot and not burnt, but nice and rich. The Cinnamon roll was piping hot with extra butter on the side. Eggs basted (to perfection) and the rest didnt need any additions besides ketchup (Portland organics). The toast came with a berry jelly/jam, can you say YUM!? I was sat promptly, coffee refilled often, nice and attentive service staff. Kid friendly, family friendly, a party room for larger groups. Cost was nicely priced for quality of food. My spouse agrees even after transporting food, that it was very good. I asked about product provider (eggs) and she was able to answer the question after consulting the kitchen staff. Environment very clean and tidy. Accepts...
