It took us 40 minutes to get our meal. I asked for my hamburger not to have the bread on it as I'm on a keto diet. I also asked for extra portobello mushrooms. I got a sprig of lettuce on the side of my plate like it was some sort of decoration. It was about the size of a quarter. I got no tomato at all. It stated this burger came with portobello, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and swiss cheese. With a tangy mustard sauce. The only thing they got right was the swiss cheese. There was no tomato and when I lifted the cheese up they had regular canned mushrooms. So I called the waitress over and I said not only are there not extra portobello mushrooms.. But there aren't even portobello mushrooms. She started to disagree with me and say well that burger doesn't come with them and I said well. It does in your description on your menu. It was the reason I wanted it. So she went and got me a side of Portobello mushrooms. When I cut into the hamburger it was hard and cold. I left the whole thing on my plate. I did eat the side of portobello mushrooms that she brought. I then ordered a salad to go which I had seen one of the other people at our table have and it did look scrumptious. The reason I gave three stars instead of one is because when I did eat that salad at home it was wonderful. The waitress stated that we were at shift change and maybe that was the reason everything went wrong with my order. It wasn't her fault but I would have after 25 minutes come to the table and let us know the ETA of our food instead of just letting us continue to sit there twiddling our thumbs. They used to have wonderful bread there too. I was told... That's gone. In its place where some unappetizing looking yeast rolls. Those were left on the table untouched. Sad. I had heard this had been a wonderful place one time. I was really looking forward to taking my friends out to lunch here as...
Read moreTEDRA T was our waitress and she needs to go waitress school to learn how to treat customers. Received no dinner rolls and in an hour and a half only got one refill. She never introduced herself, was rude when we asked questions. There were 6 people that got their food before us said that it was taking so long because my burger was well done as you can see it is rare. We understand that everything has different times and temps to be cooked it, but when we tried to just ask her kindly how long our food was going to be she just rudely responded with defensive behavior instead of trying to resolve the problem. We got our food boxed up to go after 3 other tables for their food and we had to leave due to other arrangements we had to be at and when I went to pay, I asked her kindly what the wait was again because I honestly wanted to know if there just was an issue with the time she put in our food. She responded with full of attitude that they were again waiting on the burger and that she could not tell the cooks to cook faster but I was more than welcome to go tell them. I kindly did not say anything back but paid my bill went 1 minute down the road and opened the food to have a rare burger with very...
Read moreListen. It was a random Wednesday. Lisbon, a village of under 3000 people, has this nice little restaurant I remember from my childhood - never ate there, but we lived very close by. Decide to take my family there, as I've wanted to go since moving back to Ohio. We drove from about 30 minutes away.
This place was packed. We had a 30 minute wait for a table. On a random Wednesday at 7pm. That's the first sign that it must be good. We were all very happy with our meals; I had a ribeye steak, my oldest a sirloin, my wife the chicken Alfredo, and my youngest had a burger and fries. Our steaks were properly cooked, though lacked much seasoning - easy enough to remedy with salt and pepper on the table.
Service was good. It was very busy and I hope the hostess gets tipped out because she was killing it. I didn't catch her name but she did a very good job with how busy that evening was.
I would say it's on the pricier end. Including the fried provolone appetizer, one appletini drink my wife had, and tip we paid a total of $150 for the four of us.
I only took a photo of my plate but figured I'd share it...
