Robin’s was our reception venue for our wedding in July 2022 and they were truly amazing!! Caroline (the owner) was so helpful and kind during the whole process and was so easy to work with! My wife and I live in Salt Lake City so we were doing most of the planning remote, which can be really hard, but Caroline was so great to work with! We did visit Salida in December 2021 to check out a few options for venues and Robin’s was clearly the winner! They were a breakfast and lunch only place, so having a dinner reception there meant we had the whole place to ourselves. The patio (where we set up the tables) is right along a creek so it’s very beautiful and private! The rental price was extremely affordable ($250 for the venue) + $100 for staff. Caroline sent us some menu examples to get us thinking and from there we were able to customize what we wanted. We also wanted to have a few signature cocktails so Caroline came up with a few that matched our wedding colors and because we were not local, we asked if she could send us the recipes for them so we could make them and try them. She did and we were able to test them and choose our favorites! She also connected us with a local baker, Quincey from QTCakesbyQuincey who was able to make a small wedding cake for us (we had a very small wedding with ~25 at the reception) and vegan and gluten free mini cupcakes for guests with dietary restrictions. Both the cake and cupcakes were exquisitely decorated and so delicious! The day of the reception, she let us come in early right after the restaurant closed to set up and test decorations for the table. Our wedding ceremony was supposed to be up at Lost Lake (a trail about an hour away) but it started raining in the middle of the ceremony and didn’t stop so we had to bail on it. We asked Caroline very last minute if we could have our ceremony there at the beginning of the reception and she was totally fine with it! She even offered an A-frame arch (pictured below) that she had in storage for us to use! The reception food was all made by her and her team and it was truly amazing! Nothing like the bad wedding food that is so common! If you are planning a wedding and looking for an amazing, affordable venue, look no further! I can’t recommend...

I have ordered $60-100 of food to go here most Sundays since they opened. I always tip well. This morning I was missing part of my order, so I called and asked for a credit because I didn't want to drive back there for one item. They said no! They said they were not going to offer me any kind of credit and I could only come and get the item. I asked to speak to the owner. The manager said the restaurant was very busy and they would call me back. The restaurant was not busy at all when I picked up my food. I asked if she could direct me to a voicemail to leave the owner a message. She hung up on me!! I called back to ask for my tip to be removed from my credit card slip, she hung up! I drove back there to have my tip removed and hopefully let the owner know of this employee's behavior. I walked in and they were not busy. The owner started yelling at me in front of all of her customers! I couldn't believe the level of terrible customer service... I told her to remove the tip from my slip. She did, and I left. I will NEVER order anything here again. I have also seen the employee who hung up on me not wearing a mask multiple times in front of the owner. Update after response: I WAS NOT OFFERED A COMPLIMENTARY ITEM! The above is exactly what happened. I only called back after being hung up on to ask for my tip to be removed. The only scene caused was by the owner when they started yelling at me when I walked in. Similar behavior is expressed in other reviews. I gave this establishment around $300/month on average. They have definitely lost my business, and the actual safety concern of the employees and customers is the lack of enforcement of mask wearing as well as how they are treated by the...

The view from the patio dining area is great. There's a separate outdoor seating area for those with dogs and all of the dogs there today were very well behaved. Being Mothers Day, we expected a line at noon, but we were surprised to find open tables both inside and outside. After waiting an hour for our order, we realized a bunch of tables that arrived after us had been served but our order was nowhere to be seen. We asked a server to check on our order and he came back a few minutes later with our meals and a sincere sounding apology. Everything looked and smelled great so we dug in... only to find that our meals were barely warm. By this time we were hungry and the flavor was good so we kept eating. When the server came back to ask how everything was, we let him know we were disappointed in the food temperature and asked how we could request a refund of our tip (Robin's is a pay before you eat place). He then introduced the manager and said she'd be happy to help us. The manager also apologized and told us she wanted to comp our entire meal. We said that wasn't necessary we only wanted the tip back but she insisted. Ok. When we explained the issue was more about the food not coming hot than taking a long time, she offered to have our meals re-made. Since we were more than half way done, we refused and finished. She returned with our refund receipt, apologized again, and was gracious when I said that I would have left a 5* review if the server had offered re-made meals rather than bringing out barely warm meals. We might go back to give them another chance, but we're only here for about 10 days and there are a lot of other...

Not a fan of ordering at the counter, but I ordered the Santa Fe Benedict, and it was a masterpiece. Starting with the presentation. Wow! It looked fantastic, and man, was it. The English muffin was a nice size and well toasted. The eggs were poached to perfection with a deep orange runny yolk and firm whites. The chorizo patties had great flavor with a hint of heat, the hollandaise was smooth, creamy and had a bite of lemon. They topped it off with a delicious ladle of green chili and oh man was it good. Then the icing on the cake was the hash browns. Those things were cooked to perfection, and it's the hash browns that put this dish over the top and compelled me to right this review. They were obviously spread out on the flat top and browned to perfection to maximize the crunch. Don't think I've ever had hash browns, from a restaurant that were cooked so good. Big kudos to the kitchen staff and thank you to the wait staff for getting me in and out without missing a beat on the coffee refills. Can't wait to go back.

A Great Spot for lunch by the River!! My wife and I had a nice time at Robin's in Salida. We tried their burgers, and they were pretty good! My burger had crispy bacon on it, and my wife's had melted cheese—it hit the spot. The best part was sitting outside by the river. It was peaceful and had a nice view. The people working there were friendly. They smiled a lot and made sure we had everything we needed. We liked that they cared about how we were doing. Robin's has a relaxed feel. We didn't feel rushed. The outdoor seating was shaded and had big umbrellas to keep the sun off us. We watched the river flow by—it was calming. The menu had different kinds of burgers to choose from, and they were all affordable. The place seemed clean, and they were following safety guidelines, which made us feel comfortable. Overall, if you're looking for a place to grab a burger and enjoy the outdoors, Robin's is a good choice. The food was tasty, the service was friendly, and the riverside setting was just right.
