Terrible experience at Breakfastime in Salisbury. We were told we would have a 30 minute wait to be seated, and we were seated very close to that exact time, so far no problem. We then waited an extended time for a waitress to take our drink order. When she got to us we were ready to order our meal, and gave her our drink and meal order at the same time. Two tables to our left were still eating when we got our drinks. My wife finished her cup of coffee, both tables finished their meal and left, both tables were cleared and seated with new customers, a different waitress took their drink orders, served their drinks, took their meal order, delivered their meal and they were nearly half finished with their meals before I finally got our waitresses attention. I told her we needed a coffee refill and asked if their was a problem with our order since several tables seated after us already had their meal and were nearly finished eating. Without checking on anything we were told the kitchen was messed up and our order should be up soon. She brought our order out as the table beside us finished their meal. We had no silverware, and waited for her to bring us the utensils. When paying, the cashier asked if everything was okay. I complained about our waitress and the delay in getting our food. The cashier gave me my change, but said nothing else. As we were leaving we stopped a woman who appeared to be a front end manager. She listened to our complaint and said she needed to get someone that could handle our complaint. I assumed she was getting a general manager. We waited and watched while she spoke to our waitress and then began moving chairs and getting high chairs for other customers. Our waitress kept working. It became apparent to me that I would not be talking to a manager, but to our waitress. I guess I was now in charge of discipline and training their staff. When the front end manager came by again I told her I was not waiting to file a complaint after having to wait on my food. The front end manager said she would be here shortly. I said I was not waiting. She said I would need to wait to have something done. I old her I was not waiting. To which she (rudely) replied," SHE'S WORK-ING RIGHT NOW". I told her I was not waiting to complain about waiting on my meal. We were there for over 2 hours. I just wanted someone to say I'm sorry you had to wait, let me check on why it is taking so long. Our waitress blamed the kitchen, the cashier said nothing, the front end manager wanted me to wait and talk to the waitress and she would be with us whenever she had time. I don't...
Read moreWe are new to Salisbury. So we tried breakfast time for our first eat out in Salisbury this morning. The food was delicious. And the server was nice.
Update. We have been going to this restaurant for the last few months but after our experience this morning we will never be back. I ordered a plate this morning as I normally do. And when my girlfriend got home with food as I was getting ready for work. My plate was missing toast. I called to tell the employee that I would need to get a discount on my next meal because they forgot to put my toast in my to go plate. Very snarky and rude she replied and said they can't do that and I could just come back and get the toast. I told her no as I was finishing my meal and had to go to work. So I asked to speak to a manager. The manager gets on the phone being rude as well and says the owner says no discounts and my only option was to come back for 2 pieces of toast. I told her no thanks if I had time to do all that then I would have just made my own breakfast at home and never would have needed to order food from there in the first place. But since I have been a repeat customer as of now breakfast time and the owner can keep their food because we will not ever be coming to eat there again. Also for the 2 months that we were coming and getting to go orders the girls at the register always seemed upset and rude. Likely because we weren't tipping on to go orders. Well if you want a tip then go be a server. I'm not tipping if I'm ordering standing up. And it's a to go order. We will find another place to eat that actually appreciates repeat customers. So this establishment an owner got me for 2 pieces of bread. Lesson learned. Never eat at a place that doesn't care about customers or the money they are spending. We definitely won't be back. 5 thumbs down for the customer service.
Update. We finally found a restaurant that cares about customer service. Rockwell diner actually always gets our order right and the food is way better and cheaper and they give us more portions of food. The way we were treated at breakfast time was beyond bad customer service. Do yourself a favor and don't spend your money at a place that has a bad owner like breakfast time
Update: If you'll notice the owner of this establishment breakfasttime. Has liked my one star review. About their rude and unprofessional business. And lack of customer service there of. So instead of rectifying the situation. They decided to like my one star review. Goes to show what kind of people are running this business. They are probably just as rude and nasty as their staff when it comes to customer...
Read moreArrived at breakfast time at 940 put our name on list for a table we were sat at booth about 10/15 mins later. At around 10 we got drinks and placed our order. Around 1020-1030 our food came, our coffee hadn't be refilled at all the whole time waiting for food, and wasn't refilled again our whole stay. We finished eating and asked for boxes around 11. At 1125 the manager came over to ask us to leave table because they were on a wait and really needed our table. There was 3 booths open right around us, another 2 on other side of restaurant 3 upstairs and 4 on the patio, also I only saw 3 parties waiting on this "waitlist"! I've worked as a waitress, manager, bartender at many restaurants from outback's, to bbq restaurants, to upscale five star restaurants and this has never happened, even if we were on a huge wait and the tables were taken up by hour long campers, no tipper people on Sunday lunch rush hour. None of managers would ever go and ask our customers to leave table. Nor would I ever think this was okay as the waitress waiting on them or the manager of the restaurant. It's rude, unprofessional and the best way to loose business... we were fixing to get up anyway, time slipped away because we were talking and had not seen each other in awhile. I had just look down at phone and realized how long it had been... 20 mins since finishing our food and although we left our waitress a 30% tip even though service wasn't great I still was fixing to leave so she could get sat again because I know what it's like to survive off of tips and turnover on your tables ... but to have this manager come over and ask us to leave is something I've never seen done. Mind blown! Yes waitress survive off tips but a good way to ensure your waitress can survive is to not run off customers, specially customers who tip 30% on ok service... imagine had she actually talked to us, refilled our drinks, ect... The place was not super busy... and even if it was you don't ask paying customers to leave, not if you want them to ever come back to your...
