If I could rate no stars I would, the food was great as always when ordering Apollo Burger. I stopped after work to get my family some fast dinner (I live about 45 mins away from this location). Ordered our food, which consisted of: one Texas burger with zucchini fries, one bacon burger with zucchini fries, and for myself, I ordered a gyro sandwich with fries. Now, as I usually do but did not this 'particular' time, I did not check the box of food to ensure it had all ordered items. Once I finally made it home after my commute, my youngest daughter asked me, "Hey dad, did you not order a burger?" To my disdain and the staff's lack of thoroughness, they had forgotten my gyro sandwich. I was not mad at all and understood that humans could make mistakes. I simply called up the restaurant and at first talked to a worker who spoke very, VERY broken English. Mind you, I AM NOT racist! Mi esposa es Mexicana y mi niñas son Mexicanas! 🇲🇽 I was then passed off to another worker, a younger man who spoke English very well and was very courteous. He and I engaged in a polite conversation, to which I explained to him I live about 45-60 mins away from the location, he was very obliging. He took down my name and order and told me that I should come tomorrow and they would remedy their mistake by making sure they had the COMPLETE order this time, to come around 4:30-5:00 pm the next day, and they would have the order ready no charge. I thought this was too good to be true, so after a long day of work, I called up the restaurant to ensure that the 'deal' was still on. Upon calling the restaurant, I explained the situation again to a different worker who answered the phone. They listened to my spiel and then said they were going to hand over the phone to their manager. A woman answered the phone, stating her name was Lisa and that she was the "General Manager". I politely introduced myself and explained the situation again. I also told her that one of her workers had written down my order and made a note of their mistake and that they would balance the scales of justice. Lisa, as a good manager should, asked if I had a receipt, to which I replied to " I unfortunately was not given one." Her immediate response was,"If you have no receipt, I can not give you free food!" I retorted and ensured her I was not trying to do so but could easily show her my bank transaction and geolocation (gps, time, date) to help verify any missing information. Her immediate response was saying, "I am the General Manager, I cannot give you free food if you have no receipt." I this time tried to reassure her. I was not just trying to get free food but just wanted the restaurant right their wrongs. I began to explain that another one of her staff recorded my name down and order. She then paused for a moment and then verified that she knew which one of her staff I had talked to but would not help without a receipt. I kept my cool and simply told her that I am also in management and can empathize, but that I would hope that as a GM, she would have better customer service. She DID NOT like this and then began what I can only describe as verbal diarrhea; repeating herself multiple times that she was the "GM" and she was not going to do anything to remedy their mistake. I thanked her for her time and then again suggested she as a "General Manager" should probably have more people skills and customer service. I will be calling Apollo Burger Corporate to explain the situation and not because I want free food but the whole fast food service industry as a whole is on a downwards trend for customer service. I'm sick of fast food workers constantly trying to rush you when ordering, always forgetting things, and just lacking basic people skills. I will be following up with their corporate office to lodge a...
Read moreSuper delicious and unique food (like baklava Sundae?! Yes please!). The only reason I didn't do five stars is because it was a little bit frustrating trying to order when the employee behind the register really didn't speak English or if she did it was too strong of an accent and we couldn't understand each other. I'm married to a POC immigrant who speaks English as a second language; I promise I'm not a bigot or Karen. This was just truly inappropriate to have someone at the cash register expected to take orders from customers and the person could not understand a question like, "if I order the combo, can I substitute milkshake for the soda and what would be the price difference?" One other bad experience with an employee: after I gave up and finally did an order using the online ordering system, then I sat down to eat my delicious food, and the employee in charge of wiping tables was spraying the cleaning chemicals in such a way that they went across half the room. I was genuinely fearful my food was getting chemicals sprayed in it. It was just bizarre. I told him, "when you spray, it's getting clear over here! Maybe you could point downward a little bit more?" He gave kind of a goofy response like, "yeah it sprays far!" And I started to wonder if he was mentally less accountable, like mentally handicapped. If so, again I wonder about the appropriateness of giving an employee a task they aren't really capable of doing properly.
Maybe it was just this particular location. I've only eaten once before at Apollo and don't remember anything that didn't meet my expectations about the employees at the...
Read morePretty awful service. Food is good. I’m an electrician so when I don’t make lunch, I’m usually going to places near where I am. I came to this location about 4-6 months ago. I ordered just a burger and fries, and they gave me a number like usual. 20 minutes later, I started noticing people who came in after me were all getting their food, nothing for me. I went up and asked about my order, nobody knew anything about it, so they made it again. Annoying, but I wrote it off as things that just happen.
Nope.
I went in today, ordered and sat down. The exact same scenario happened again. Waited about 20 minutes, people started getting their orders who came in after me. I went up to the counter and asked about my order, and again, nothing. I ordered a fish sandwich, and noticed the filet on the counter that had been sitting there. They said that was mine, even though it didn’t look like anyone was doing anything with it for a bit.
The manager did refund me, so at least they were willing to rectify the situation, but twice in a row at the same location is unacceptable. The two guys in the booth next to me had the same deal, they ordered and were waiting for a long time. I asked them about it, and they had the same situation as me. As I was done eating, they had just gotten their orders
Both of these times were during lunch time, so I don’t know if it’s certain people making these mistakes constantly, their system, or something else. But I definitely won’t be coming...
