I decided to come to blue magnolia for lunch/coffee and to get some studying in while visiting my parents. I recognized the girls working the front were busy so I waited quietly in line to order (just me and one other lady in line). When it was my turn to order I told the girl at the register she could handle whatever else she needed to and I didnāt mind to wait. She told me to just go ahead and order⦠so I did. I initially planned to stay but I could tell this may be a shorter trip than I planned. I went upstairs with the buzzer I was given to pick up my order. It buzzed within a few minutes and I went straight downstairs. I then watched the 3 girls at the front argue over who had to make my coffee and one asked āwhyās she standing thereā. I was told if my buzzer went off, my order was ready. Still I stood and let them work it out with each other. They donāt directly acknowledge me or ask my name but one looks up after a few minutes and starts acting annoyed and making fun of me for still standing there and the other states āis Mary just not coming my godā⦠they mixed up my name with another and when I said that I was mary they all looked like they had seen a ghost realizing the person they were being so rude towards was standing there the whole time. To which the one giving me my food said āsorry the kitchen staff has been so mean today hahaā I didnāt say anything. I saw my order was wrong but I just asked for a Togo container, left a tip and went home. I too work in a busy field and I know itās overwhelming at times.. but being flat out mean girls is never called for. So...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friend and I visited Blue Magnolia Cafe yesterday, and it was a GREAT experience! This lovely cafe is not to be missed. They have specialty espressos and baked goods, as well as wonderful lunch items. Beside enjoying lunch, I left with a loaf of sourdough bread and a chocolate chip scone (soft and delicious!) to enjoy back home. A coffee house and bakery is soon to open next door. There are books everywhere for the perusing, and a second floor for the more studious. The piped-in 30's music on the first floor highlights the building's history as an early opera house, with quieter music on the second floor to support that environment. The owners were lovely people, and made us feel very welcome. They truly have thought out so many details about the restaurant to make it special. If you're in the Tupelo area, Blue Magnolia Cafe is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting from out of state and went for a run on the tanglefoot trail. Both times running by this front door, I saw people coming and going and standing inside so I figured these people must know something! People behind the counter were sweet and no one waiting minded the wait. They were selling out of items in real time which seemed to stress them out but was also heartwarming to watch. Pretty cool to see a local business loved so much that they sell out of items and all the customers were smiling and understanding the whole time. I got a black coffee and avocado toast. It wasn't fast but who cares! Definitely will be back next time I visit. Realizing now I left this review for a different location apparently? I was talking about a location...
