We have come here off and on for several years. Always enjoy the atmosphere, the waitresses are kind, and do a really good job. Our waitress is always very attentive and always goes beyond for us. They all do!!

This complaint involves that they are short-handed and do not serve well the customers there.

Unfortunately today, we ordered biscuits with sausage gravy with one waitress. We know the cooks prob do not fry the sausage and make the gravy from that frying which adds the flavor. I understand. However, we asked for the sausage be more CRUMBLED into the gravy. When the plate was received, the sausage was in clumps. So when we asked the waitress about this and stated we asked for sausage to be crumbled specifically and why it wasn’t, she said, “She is just really busy right now.”

A little later, by a separate waitress we were asked if everything was okay. At first I was not going to say anything, but I digressed.

I’m sure everyone gets this answer? She is REALLY BUSY and well, we are really NOT pleased with that answer or the product.

It’s sad that quantity (serving more people) is more important than serving the...

So was really excited to try this restaurant. Me and a close friend walked in they asked us to sit where ever we wanted so we picked a corner table when we started to sit they told use sombody where already sitting there and there food was on the way out no big deal we picked another table. Then another couple people walked In picked the same table in the corner and I was told they just wanted to move people around. I don’t think in my 40 years I have ever felt this way when going any where I’m still dumb founded. The few tables next to use felt the same looking like what was that. I would never spend my hard earned money anywhere that treat people this way. When u say sit where ever u like that means sit where ever u like as long as the table is not taken in which case the table wasn’t they made a story that the table was in which case they lied right to our face then made a story that they just wanted to move people around. We left without eating. Never wrote a post like this but if u would like to feel like this then I would...

Food took forever to come out. We figured maybe the food was worth the wait since it had so many good reviews. We were wrong. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The chicken was thin, the breading was flaky and falling apart it looked like they used a breading that you use for a fish fry. It was also not seasoned and it was chewy. The hash brown was a small scoop, and was burnt. The only good thing was the eggs. For the price it would have been better to go to Cracker Barrel or Dennys. The other ppl that I went with were also displeased with their food. One ordered the huevos ranchero. It said on the menu it comes with tortillas, don’t know why the waitress didn’t ask what tortilla he wanted when she put in the order. When it finally came out she realized she forgot the tortilla and he had to wait another 30min, and when it finally came out it was one tortilla….and the food was already cold. Not sure how this place got good reviews and was busy maybe because there were no other options...

What a cute, little place. Hometown feel. Great service. Great breakfast. I was staying at the hotel next door and almost didn’t go for breakfast. I’m so glad I did. I work out of town a lot and I never see familiar faces so the hometown feel is so appreciated. Listening to the healthy communication. Respect. Quiet. Peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. Roxie’s will be my goto for breakfast in San Angelo. You’ve gained a regular when I’m in town. Thank you all.

Phenomenal Diner! Both of us had the huevos rancheros with a side of bacon and a side of French toast. So good! The sauce was perfectly spiced and the eggs cooked exactly as ordered. Bacon was fresh and thick and their homemade salsa was delicious! The server was so attentive and helpful and the decor was so fun. Will be back any chance I get! Was too hungry and finished all the food before I realized I didn’t take a pic! 😇

Classic diners have always had a special place in my heart (and stomach) so it was nice to see that San Angelo has a long standing diner as well. This is the first of many, many return visits for more delicious food and great company from great staff. Super good prices and all the classic plates are available for breakfast and lunch. 20% off for active duty and 10% off for retired military as well!
