There was once a couple who had a lot of chores at home. They decided, after all of their groceries were bought, all of their money spent. They decided to go out to eat, because the wife was not about to cook in this heat. They walk in greeted with smiles. He picks out a steak, she eats two baskets of rolls. They order, life is good.
Then 10 minutes pass. And then 10 more. And soon enough it’s been 45 minutes, not a single drink refill. Watching as their waitress talks to a table the entire time. She talks and talks and talks, even decides to sit down for a minute to finish her conversation with the cowboy. Finally the conversation ends, and our food is served. We lick our plates clean, enjoying every bite. Then, we wait another 30 minutes for the bill. Eventually she comes around, husband asking for half a dozen rolls to go because he loves his wife. He knows the second they get home she’s going to sit down and eat them all. Another 20 minutes goes by, no rolls. She comes around the corner and asked if we paid. Husband reminds her of the rolls. She disappears for another 10 minutes. Finally brings them around. Forgets butter. Forgets a bag. Another two decades pass and we finally leave, rolls in tow.
Every other time me and my husband have ate here, which is a lot, the service was great. But today, I have no clue what happened. My whole day wasted, on a dozen burnt rolls. We were ignored basically the whole time while this server chatted with strangers, mingled with employees. Now I understand what it’s like to come from the hospital and straight to work, but it is unbelievable how long we sat there while she talked to everyone else but her tables. I can’t remember her name, nor do I care to learn her name, but this will probably be the last time we dine at this establishment. Horrible service, good...
Read moreEvery time I come to Texas Roadhouse I’m never disappointed. I’m always very satisfied and happy with the service/food. EXCEPT today. Things were great till we got to the food and service. But before I get into the food, I’d like to take a moment to talk about the service. Firstly, they took an hour to bring our food. Secondly, the waiter was alright but definitely not the best. But the part that really upset me about the service was that one of people/managers that check up on you to see how your food was didn’t even do that to me. Yet, he checked up on every single table in my area besides mine. I hate to call it that but it was most likely discrimination. If it was, I’d just like to say that my money is worth the same as every body else’s. After all money is the thing that businesses care about, right? Anyways back to the food. They served my 8 oz steak in a toddler plate!! Leaving room for like only 3 fries. Same thing for the other members in my party. Secondly, they served my child’s Mac N cheese in the smallest plate ever. They literally served it where they would put the sides of broccoli and rice. Meaning they put a MAIN COURSE on a plate meant for small sides. Plus, the Mac and Cheese was also not even cooked right. It was uncooked and very inedible. I don’t know if they didn’t have a dishwasher but even then an established business at a national level should always be prepared for anything. Heck, local businesses’ are better than that! But it is what it is. I used to brag about Texas Roadhouse to my friends and family but guess I was wrong. Won’t be coming back after a while. (PICTURES INCLUDED BELOW WITH SILVERWARE...
Read moreWent to Roadhouse for dinner last night with my husband, our kids, and family. We got there at 7:30 was told it would be an hour wait which it was so that was just fine. Once we were seated no one came to take our drinks, we waited for about 15 minutes before someone came and that was only because my father asked who our waitress was. She took our drinks and brought out bread with no silverware and no cinnamon butter until we asked for it. Then the food finally came out after waiting another hour or so at the table for it, once it came my MAC and cheese tasted good but was cold my fully baked potato was fine but had hardly any toppings. Then for my steak it was way over cooked I asked for medium rare but it came out almost well done and my shrimp was cold!! My husband ordered the steak and ribs and his steak was over cooked as well and his ribs were extremely dry. My father and brother’s steak was overcooked as well but they didn’t say anything because they were hungry and did not want to wait any longer. The manager came but did nothing but remake the food, by the time it came out we just had it boxed up because we got tired of waiting and the rest of our family were already through with their dinner. For a 2 hour wait to eat and 30 dollar plates we expected our food to be the way we asked. Once we came home my husband checked his ribs and they are still dry! All in all it was a terrible night of waiting around for not great food or...
