Fred's Fish Fry — Restaurant in San Antonio

This place is still around after all these years! They must be doing something right. The menu is your basic fish but they've added chicken sandwiches along with other sea staples. The price is probably still as high as you remember. The fries in the family orders should be double the size and they can stand to throw in an extra tartar sauce since one is never enough. The wait is long but it's a good thing because it is made to order. The food tastes great above all and it's always there like a beacon of light when you're hungry and can't decide...

This location does not have a drive thru but still great for pick up only. Though the parking lot layout is a bit strange there are plenty of parking spots for normal business traffic.

The kitchen appears to be clean and the front waiting area feels a little dated. A little love to the front would make the waiting experience a bit more pleasing but the food never...

Well, the price for what you get is too high. For the same price I can get fish filets that actually look like fish and it comes with shrimp and your choice of several sides. Sorry Fred's, I've eaten there once and really don't think I'd do it again. I'm a single mom and I'm looking for a better value...
