This place...THIS PLACE! OH MY! The food here is just TOO damn good. I always get the same things...Enchiladas Verdes and a Steak A la Mexicana Taco. First...the Enchiladas Verdes are THE BEST in SAN ANTONIO hands down. I've been all over the city working and been to the BIGGER Mexican restaurants and to the lil mom and pop joints so I've been around. The Verde sauce is delicious and has a sweetness to it and the chicken, oh my their chicken😋, it's so juicy and full of flavor. It's one of those dishes that you take smaller bite just to make it last longer to savor the flavor. Now for the Steak A la Mexicana...this isn't meat with Pico thrown in...we're talking g sliced Steak with sliced onions, Tomatoes and fresh Sliced Jalapeños, all cooked together to give a flavor so delicious you wonder what you've been doing wrong in the kitchen.
If you by this restaurant and it's open HO EAT HERE you won't be disappointed.

Came in for lunch w my husband cause I remember my dad brought me here awhile back. Food was great. We both had the Nadine Plate (2 beef enchiladas, 1 crispy taco, 1 chalupa, tortillas w rice & beans. Free chips & salsa. Lunch special came with a sweet tea for $9.99. Service was excellent! Usually you might see your server when they serve you the food & they might check in once or so. We got checked on several times to see if we needed anything. This restaurant has a VERY patriotic scenery and VERY southside San Antonio aesthetic. If you have loved ones from out of town coming to visit, I say SKIP MI TIERRA (tourist magnet) and COME HERE for an AUTHENTIC experience of a Tex Mex restaurant! 💯 Afterwards, take them to see one of the Missions 💒 and then go to Arjon’s for some dancing. 💃🏻🕺🏽
