This restaurant has been open a little over a year and a half now and we have been loyal customers since day one. Unfortunately since they opened they slowly started changing items on their menu. The first changes came only months after they opened their doors. Changing the fajita from nice size regular cut fajita to the asada pieces every other restaurant sells. They have since changed items such as the chicken they place into the quesadillas from a fajita chicken to a nasty chicken that has a weird chorizo flavor. They have also stopped using actual enchiladas sauce but instead have chosen to use quisada...not guisada sauce but actual chuck guisada with bell peppers and onion. A flavor that's is unwelcomed when someone just wants to eat enchiladas. Their salsa has been changed into some garlicky puree instead of a traditional blended salsa. It used to be we could go have a great dinner any day of the week and we did visit at first at least 3 times a week, to having to choose what days we went based on who they had as cook. Now the food has become so mediocre it is no longer worth going out of the way to spend our money there. Before posting this review, we attempted to give them 3 chances in a hope it was just a mistake. Sadly no they only got worse with every visit. In our last visit there they serve me tough over cooked steak mostly fat with the guisada chuck enchiladas. If you plan on going out of your way to have dinner...don't. This venue has become the same as every other mediocre mexican restaurant in San Antonio. No longer is it a hidden gem. Customer might as well go to any other place because the flavor isnt worth going out of your way anymore. Guerrero's has lost two loyal customers today and we Do Not plan on...

Once inside you're greeted by friendly faces and the smell... Oh the sweet, sweet smell of Mexican food cooking up just slaps you and puts a smile on your face while your mouth waters.
The staff, very attentive, will drop off some chips (thick n fresh) and salsa (hearty and flavorful) that will set off visit just right.
The menu is very detailed and the prices are very, very competitive, especially for the quality of food that you'll consume.
I had the Camarones A La Diabla (Shrimp) and it was AWESOME! The sauce was just right. The flavor, the thickness and the heat was perfect. The shrimp are of very good size and a sizeable portion made it even better. Served with rice, salad and refried beans, the plate was a hit.
A complete success.
All in all, for a restaurant that just started, I'm impressed.
Staff, food and establishment are an A+.
Will surely visit again and I...
