One of those places that you happen to stumble upon and it impresses you more than you thought it would.
We went during lunch time and it was decently busy, but not overwhelming. We were greeted and found ourselves our own seats but the waitress got to us pretty quick.
Their lunch menu is a bit confusing because I haven’t had too much Mexican food to know what was listed, but the waitress explained what I needed to know. The prices are pretty decent, especially for the amount of food they give you! I was a bit overwhelmed because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to finish it all but it was definitely worth it.
I ordered the puffy tacos and it came with an extra side of tortillas for my rice and beans. The flavoring was perfect and the portions couldn’t be beat for the price. They even gave us some nachos and salsa to start off with.
I’d definitely recommended this place for any type of dining, whether it be breakfast, lunch, or a really early dinner. Unfortunately they close early but it’s worth it to try it out...
Read moreI think Mama Maggie's just became our new regular lunch spot. The food is good, portions large, everything was made fresh. The specials are a great value. Service was a bit slow but we were a large group during lunch rush.
Highlights: fresh corn and flour tortillas, both excellent Four salsas, all were good, although the mild red with the chips was a bit runny and needed salt, the others were a tomatillo, creamy green, and spicy red No beer but BYOB is okay Gorditas and puffy tacos were winners, but the asada de puerco was delicious (although the pork was a bit fatty) Bakery selection wasn't massive but covered all the bases and everything was fresh and good
Bottom line, the food is delicious and inexpensive. Everyone left very happy. Not only would I go back, we've made plans to go back tomorrow for breakfast tacos and...
Read moreBeing a neighborhood spot, many friends mentioned to me that I should give them a try. My husband brought me today since I had mentioned it and we've grown bored of the other restaurants. I have to say, very good food. I ordered two country and egg tacos and my husband ventured the chilaquiles guanajuato plate. The tacos are big! One taco was plenty for me. Very full of egg and country sausage wrapped with love by a very soft and fluffy tortilla that was nowhere near packaged. It was delicious!! I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my husband's plate. He inhaled it! He loved it so much! My taco was perfect and filling! My favorite was the young server. She was polite and so friendly! We mentioned it was our first time and she expressed genuinely that we enjoy the food and to come back! Oh, we will!!...
