Taco Express — Restaurant in San Antonio

Just as a clarification I have never been here before but seemed like it looked good so I wanted to try. I made an online order and i got a notification that the order was confirmed by the restaurant. I arrived around the time it told me to pick up and there was a car already in the parking lot so I thought it was safe that it was open. I even checked the front door for closures and social media as well, which all said that the place was open. When it was time for me to pick up, a family pulled up and started knocking on the door and a woman came up and unlocked the door for them. The way she greeted them either looked like family or customers she knew very well. I walked up and as soon as she saw me she immediately locked the door back. I was confused and told her i made an order and it had been confirmed. She then proceeded to actually YELL at me that they were closed and they were not taking orders. I was trying to get more information but she walked away from me as I was talking. Im completely baffled at how rude she immediately made the interaction and do not want to try coming back because I am in fear of having to interact with someone so toxic. I hope she treats whoever she let in the place better than...

Homemade - these tacos are made by an abuela, or at least a madre, a Mexican woman who seemingly has been making this stuff her whole life! No teenagers or hired hands like at other places.

Perfect size - at other places the tacos are so huge you can only have one, others they are like mini tacos. TE = Goldilocks

Price - although I would pay more for great tacos, you can’t ignore the value TE offers.

Plain Delicious - I’ve tried them all and I encourage you to do the same - Taco Express is the best!

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a freshman at JMHS! I call the oldest TIA or MA because she was always there for us when we visit and treated us like her kids. She is an amazing woman! My freshman time was 2015/2016 and lemme tell you… I have a daughter now and I’m married but, and even now a days her food has still kept its quality and taste absolutely amazing!
