Full disclosure, I’m not particularly fond of sandwiches myself. I came here because of coworkers, but kept an open mind as I love trying new places. I got the half serious sandwich and it was okay. The bread was pretty flat, and although crunchy, I would have preferred their homemade bread. The interior was also lacking. It was pretty small and flat overall, at least for me. Taste wise it was okay. The deli meats were great but other than that I would say pretty average. My coworker came here in the past and loved it but had different sandwiches. Perhaps I need to give it another go with a different order. Overall, this was an alright launch stop. The interior is old school and has a nice moms and pops vibe to it, but the sandwich itself let me down a bit. I’ll be back to try other items and will update my review. The 'Serious Sandwich' is hands down THE best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I've had this sandwich as a teen but my lame dad never told me where this place was, so finally as an adult i found this place again and enticed a friend that it indeed will be the best sandwich ever and he's been thankful for introducing him to this place! Yes, eat it with the pickle! sure it's single wrapped but it adds a water chestnut vibe to it. I'm a big guy so i get the half order but you could split with it a partner or friend if you eat responsibly. 😂 Side note: if you prefer a less 'crunchy' sandwich, wait like 20-30 minutes before you eat it, this sandwich has ample juices that the bread will absorb and become less crunchy, i usually eat one portion when i get home from picking up the order and save the other half for 30 minutes.

Local gem! I love a good spot with an old-timey feel with a yummy meal I can come back to again and again and this fits the bill! Old school deli vibe, with a simple menu, but I highly recommend the Serious. It’s their main featured sandwich, and for good reason. We ordered the full order, which comes served on two plates and feeds two people. I even had leftovers from just my serving of it. It was delicious! Crunchy, tangy from the olives and banana peppers, with tons of meat and cheese. It’s like an Italian but even better. Potato’s salad was nothing special, but their cupcakes are amazing! The white chocolate raspberry was great. Nice and moist and the berry was a nice compliment to the cake. We will definitely be back!

I have been going to Zito's for over 30 years, whether Broadway location or Callaghan Rd, before they moved to Backcock Rd location. I get the Serious Sandwich (YUM) in a half size, but the Italian is great tasting as well, bread is always freshly baked. Service is friendly and wait timing is about right for how busy they can get, especially at lunch time. Call in and take it home or on the go, if you do not have time to sit and enjoy it there. It has that good ole' sandwick shop feel if you stay there. Prices are reasonable compared to what you may for that at another fast food sanwich shop with no enjoyable feeling. I highly recommend this place. Family owned. See others pics for what the food looks like, my pics are in my head not my phone....
