I recently visited Bambino’s Pizza, thinking it was associated with the Bambino’s Pizza #2 on Palomar since their branding, menu, and even the pizza boxing looked identical. When I picked up my order and asked about the connection, the employee seemed genuinely confused and said they weren’t related. It was a little disorienting, especially given how similar everything looks. I ordered two 20” pizzas: The Works and a Pepperoni, over the phone for a Wednesday 2 pm pickup. They gave a reasonable 25-minute prep time, and parking was hassle-free with only one person in front of me. I also requested a bottle of ranch, which they provided after some delay. Pretty easy pickup overall though. Where things went downhill was in the actual flavor. While the pizza and dough had a familiar taste, the sauce was unexpectedly sweet, and I could definitely taste sugar in it. Even the ranch had a slightly yellow tint and tasted sugary. If you’re a fan of a sweeter sauce, this might be perfect, but it’s not what I was expecting. Overall, the ingredients and toppings were good quality, but the sweetness threw me off. I’ll likely stick to the Bambino’s on Palomar moving forward.

I've lived in San Diego for 3 years have yet to find an Italian/pizza place I'd return to. That has changed as of today and it's now Bambinos, and let me tell you why. I'm browsing various pizza specials online cause I like pizza and I like deals. Unfortunately So far every deal I've ever gotten has been disappointing and not really "a deal" afterall. So I decided to try Bambinos and I choose the pizza and lasagna special. My expectations are low bc of past experiences so you can imagine my surprise when I received my order(refer to pictures). I MEAN COME ON, COULD THIS GET ANY BETTER? It really couldn't. To my delight a beautiful full sized fresh salad, a 2 liter, garlic bread, a perfectly baked hot hefty serving of lasagna, could serve 3 easily. Pizza- DE-LICIOUS..for thirty something bucks. Are you kidding me. Amazing. Quality Caringly assembled Delicious Value I highly recommend this place as I feel if you try it you will be glad you did. And thank you to the owner and it's employees for making this an amazing food experience. You're commitment to quality can be seen and is appreciated.

After reading multiple reviews for pizza in the area, we decided to try Bambino’s. I called on a Saturday evening about 5:45 for a medium Hawaiian. The grilled that answered the phone was brusque and businesslike, and took my order quickly and accurately. Not a lot of pleasantries, but she didn’t appear rude. The neighborhood of the store was a little off putting. Bars on the home windows, and a junkie or two on the parking lot at the convenience store next door. Inside of the shop appeared clean and smelled like good food. Cashier was again brusque, but that is okay because my pizza was handed out quickly and I was on my way. Pizza was very, very good! Toppings were plentiful, crust was just the right amount of chew and crisp, and pizza was nice and hot! We very much enjoyed the entire pizza. The hope pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese packets were a welcome touch!

I was to write a review two weeks ago of my experience, just busy with life... First lets start off by saying, I have patronized Bambino for six years because it used to be the best spot close to home. My last experience was no bueno! extremely disappointed with my order and service, I ordered Chicken Alfredo pizza as always green peppers/black olives not mushrooms and not once ever had issues with order in the past, so I drove back w/pizza in hand after biting into disgusting mushrooms. The clerk arguing with me for a minute trying to justify Alfredo Pizza with spinach comes with mushrooms... We go back and fourth for a minute because it is not mentioned anywhere about mushrooms, while trying to compare spinach/mushrooms. (hilarious)

After giving me attitude, The clerk said I can make you another pizza ¨ cool¨ Second pizza taste salty. As a loyal customer I will not ever be back... I am not sure if pops is still around, when he was. The captain ran a tight...
