I would not recommend this place. The owner was rude and hostile to me and a guest. I had confirmed that they closed at 9:00 pm online and saw reviews that food was served fast, within 15 mins, and thought we were not too late. I had a guest from out of town and had never tried this pizza place but saw good reviews. The sign was on and signage said they were open. We arrived at 8:40 pm. There were two male guests at the counter when we walked in who called for the owner that he had customers. Mike came out from the back looking angry and glared at us, stating, "We're closed!" I said your posts and signage states you're open until 9:00 pm, and he again rudely stated, "We're closed" and continued to glare at us. My guest and I were both embarrassed and intimidated. I guess they are not really interested in business. We did end on a positive note by having a fabulous dinner at Napoleone's pizza on Plaza who treated us well and has food that I am sure is far superior. If the food at Mike's pizza is reflective of the owner / manager, then go elsewhere. Horrible, embarrassing experience. ...

Ok, so heres my take on the place Ive seen this place for years but never ate here. San Diego is not a great pizza place, and other giant pizza locations have been a let down. So today i decided to give them a shot. I eent in for a slice and saw they made gyros. So i opted for the latter. It was a good sandwich. Nothing to rave about. But good. The fries were really good. Salted just right. Reminded me of Chicago. The salad was small, but good. Dressing, feta cheese all above board. Over all... an "A" in my book. Which means i will try thier menu a lot more. Guy behind the counter was friendly and courteous. A BIG plus in my book. I...
