The Greenspot Salad Company Governor Park — Restaurant in San Diego

I have been to Greenspot in Mission Valley numerous times and it has always been a wonderful experience with excellent fresh food. My visit to Greenspot La Jolla was nothing like that. The service felt rushed and was terrible despite me being one of only two customers in there. My food was allegedly prepared by the manager but might as well have been made by the janitor. The person at checkout seemed equally flustered.

I wanted to write a 1 star review before leaving the store, but I figured that once I tasted the fresh deliciousness then all might be forgiven. WRONG!!! The food wasn't fresh. There was mold on my jalapeño slices. My salad looked like I forgot it in my work fridge before going on vacation. I can't excuse horrible service and a horrible product. I joined my fiance for lunch near his office in utc. The spot is walking distance and pretty popular with the office lunch crowd. They offer a variety of salads and wraps vegetarian or you can add meat. It's a great healthy lunch spot. I did order the super food salad which I honestly thought was a little subpar, it just lacked a lot of flavor and they could have done a lot more with it, simply adding some seats are not going to give it a boost of flavor. I used to get a salad every day for lunch. I would go to the one in Mission Valley. I thought they had all closed down until I looked it up. I was very very wrong and I am so glad that I was! The Greek Salad is my absolute favorite. I add edamame to it along with the grass fed steak. Highly recommend. They also have an option where you can buy a bottle of their dressing! I got a bottle of the Greek Vinaigrette. If you are looking for a wonderful lunch the Greenspot is where it is at!
