La Jolla Paseo Senior Apartments 55+ — Local services in San Diego

Don’t trust the apt management team. They treat prospective tenants very well. I had an electric vehicle and was told charging stations were nearby, and soon they would be installing charging stations in the complex. Also told a garage would soon be available for me. Lies. After moving in, I soon discovered that no charging stations were available “nearby” and there was no plan to install charging stations. The one assigned parking space is narrow and difficult to get my new hybrid SUV in (that I was forced to buy to replace my fully electric vehicle that I could not conveniently charge.). No garage assignment yet (I moved here in August 2022) and none expected before my lease expires in August 2023). When I complained they told me there was plenty of street parking and a lot about 2 blocks from my apartment. The one assigned spot is very narrow and in a position that makes it difficult to park. The people that live here are very friendly. The People in the office do not know anything. You are offered or told about these great amenities. Pools are not kept clean, any extra classes are residents job to plan and set up. You are “promised “ that the facility will offer these classes. The rent that you pay is not worth it for service provided. Only way to get anything done is contact code enforcement, Fire Marshall or any other city entity for the issues that you are having. Then the facility will respond within a day or less of being contacted. Otherwise it is months waiting for resolution. I would think long and hard before considering...

We lived there 5 years. 1st year was great. Good deal, great amenities. 2nd year ok. 3rd year prices jumped, pool dirty, no management ever around, never watered landscaping 4th year raised $200 a month even during Covid. 5th year new lease was $300 more a month for 6 month lease. Was told in 6 months it would go up another $300. This is OUTRAGEOUS for a so called 55+ community. They don't care. I moved in January. They just rented my old apartment for $866 more than I was paying. Zero stars if I could. No activities, no nothing new to justify...
