The Pizza Standard was the perfect stop for my Saturday night pizza fix! I've been looking for a great pizza place since I moved back to San Diego from living in Italy and am so pleased to be able to finally stop the search. This locally owned pizzeria has an atmosphere that feels like you are hanging out with good friends if you are staying for a slice or taking your pizza to go. With the oversized OLED TV and beer coming on Monday I can see this as the perfect spot to even enjoy the game. If being inviting and local weren't enough the prices are incredibly reasonable, a much welcome change to the outrageous prices everywhere these days. Lastly and most importantly the pizza is the thin crust pizza that is delicious, but not too filling like I love. The options for slices included many of the specialty pizzas letting me try a wide variety in one visit. Not only is the Pizza Standard going to be my new weekend pizza spot I will have to add a few more days of the week for pizza so I can come back...

This will not be as detailed as my burger reviews but I love pizza just as much… just so happens that pizza in San Diego is mid.

Been wanting to try out this spot for a long time now. Just hard when one of my favorite slices is a couple minutes down the street.

So I stopped in and the guys were doing their thing hands covered in dough and slaving infront of a hot pizza oven.

I don’t remember the name of the specialty slice but it was very flavorful! One of the better slices I’ve had in SD.

Feel like the slices were a little dried out from their time sitting waiting on me lol but I could tell fresh from a whole pie they’d be freaking fire. So my review will be based on that … not the lack of slice business in the area. They were cranking out the whole pies!
