Great little spot since it's near my work. It's conveniently located across from Gabrieleno High School too, so once covid situation eases, I can imagine hs students coming here after school. This was my first time trying Sunright Tea Studio but I've heard great things about it from co-workers who have been to other locations. I really enjoy the fact you order from a kiosk but if there's any questions, the workers are there to help.
It's currently their soft opening so their hours are limited from 12pm-5pm, I'm assuming everyday; I didn't ask. They don't have a patio like the previous spot (Unknown Tea House) had so I recommend just enjoying your drink by your car or trunk if you have a hatchback/SUV.
Cons about the location is their parking lot. It's extremely small and you'll have to back out to exit, there's no other way to exit except the way you came in. I recommend just parking on the street instead.
The drink I ended up getting was what was recommend, their Sunright Milk Tea. I typically can't handle too sweet of a drink but I wanted to know what their 100% sweetness tasted like. For someone like me who doesn't enjoy their boba milk tea tasting like a cup of syrup, 100% sweetness was delightful. It tasted like 50% sweetness to me so I'd definitely get it again. I'll have to come back again with my coworkers to the rest of their menu since it's so...
Read moreWow, just when I thought I'd tried it all and nothing could wow me anymore... This unsuspecting corner building is on San Gabriel and Wells, just across from the playfield. You may have to wait in a (quick) line to enter and order on the tablet, and then your name will be called. It's such an efficient system because the ordering process is so clear and all employees spend their effort making drinks. I got the peach frostie (adjusted to 75% sweetness) and it was the perfect treat to help cool down on a hot summer day. There are so many options, from milk and fruit teas to frosties (slushies) and lattes. There's also a kids menu. You can also place orders online for pickup when it isn't already too busy in the store. Bonus points for easy...
Read moreI have been to two other locations, and this one is by far the worst. It's a tiny location by San Gabriel high school, and I really feel bad for the workers there. It's about 100° today and there's no air conditioners in there. The place is crowded and there's no air circulation whatsoever. And, unfortunately the drink also represents the working condition there. The drink, matcha with oolong tea,I don't want to say is terrible, but it's pretty bad. Zero taste of oolong tea with very weak matcha flavor. I know there's a sign in the front saying this is a soft opening so I hope things will get better for everyone. I probably won't come back to this location again but I still like their drinks in...
