A friend's birthday was coming up, and since we were going to an area outside of where we usually stay, we took a chance on Oh My Pan Bakery for a cake. We ordered 3 days in advance for a cake pick up and it was very easy! Just let them know the date and time for pickup, what kind of cake, the size of the cake, and any writing needed.
PARKING - Small lot but most people that come into the plaza are just picking up desserts or pastries to go, so you should be able to find a spot!
SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - When I was placing the order over the phone, the man helping me was very polite and easy to work with! When I was picking up the cake however, the staff member was a bit standoffish and was packing pastries as I stood there waiting for him to be done. He then asked me if I was ready and I told him I had a cake order. As he was packing up the cake, we looked at the pastries and ended up getting a mochi bun as well.
FOOD - Matcha Strawberry (8" - ~$37.00) - Really simple but gorgeous design with the fresh strawberries on top, matcha powder, and chocolate decor. They wrote out Happy Birthday on a white chocolate piece, and provided a candle, knife, matches and small forks. The cake itself was not too sweet, which is the highest compliment in asian standards. Every bite was very soft and light, which is a great change of pace from the heavy decadent cakes you sometimes run into.
OVERALL - Great local shop that you can order cakes on short notice from, and can even grab a drink or pastry while...
Read moreThis review is only on the brick toast. This brick toast is none like I have ever had before. Prob the best brick toast ever! There is a reason why it take 30 mins for a order of the brick toast to come out. We ordered two. The strawberry and chocolate, both a la mode. When they first bring it out, you notice how tall it is and how nicely decorated. Then you cut into it and they have bread sticks in side they are crispy soft and buttery smothered in custard. The strawberry was prob the best brick toast ever, the chocolate was just okay.
Some reason they did not get 5 stars: -The strawberries were thinly sliced and had the stems on them still. I feel like they should have cut off the stem prior to serving. -I also wish there was more strawberries on it. -the ice cream was rock hard and not very good.
If I were to go back. I would prob get the tower instead because the outside loaf was just okay. The best part where the sticks and you can just get the buttery sticks in...
Read more4.5/5 stars really, but I’ll round up and give it a 5, because I’ve had the BEST BOBA OF MY LIFE here in the past. A few of my more recent visits have been more in the 4/5 star range (good, pleasing, but not MIND-BLOWING) but I still can’t stop thinking about that perfect boba I had here. Their brick toast was so-so, tiramisu was pretty good, and a friend raved about one of their sweet matcha Danish-pastry things, but the real star of the show here, as far as I’m concerning, is their drinks. Hazelnut coffee smoothie with pudding and boba – absolute perfection. Still, you can’t really go wrong with any of the drinks here. Their plain ol’ Milk Tea was perfect as well. If you’re in SGV, it’s worth a quick...
