I would like to share my experience and would give this location a BIG 0 (ZERO). For the past 15 years, I was a loyal customer and would advertise for this location in San Juan for the fast, cheaper prices and delicious tamales BUT that stops Today. BEWARE of Holiday hours or NEW YEAR EVE their Google store hours were inaccurate and when I personally called was told the Drive Thru would be open. I drove almost Two hours out of town to make a special trip purchase 8 dozens of tamales and two for a homeless center as I do every year without anyone knowing but thanks to the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MISINFORMATION DELIAS MANAGER AND HIRED GOVERNMENT SERVICES RUINED IT THIS YEAR! I was discussing, humiliated, and dismissed as though their pay check was more important than their customers. Poor excuse and UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD. I drove up to the location and was told to LEAVE in the rudest manner and unprofessional way because the were closed but yet the drive thru had 9 cars in line and it was 3:19pm. So I called to speak to someone in the restaurant and was told the lobby was closed but I could line up in the drive thru since it was still open. Well, I drive up and the so called security said again the restaurant was closed when I just spoke to one of the workers who stated different. He then asked who did I speak to I said the young lady that answered ans he said that could not be true since he was waiting on the 9th car infront of me to be served and he was ready since 3 pm to leave. I called back to the restaurant infront of the so called security and spoke to a man this time who again did not give a name and then just hung up in the middle of me asking why was I told the drive thru was still open when in fact it was not. REALLY HANG UP ON YOUR CUSTOMERS?????Again, I drove almost 2 hours to purchase my regular order to be treated like a liar and disrespected with no clue who they was speaking to. I want to share my experience so NO ONE would ever be treated this way! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER with the worst MANAGEMENT. I will maybe purchase once a year now if that. I will share my experience with the large companies when I am asked. Once a restaurant stops caring about their customers and its all about their paycheck the outcome will be their demise. Happy Bew year to losing great...

This was my 1st time coming to this location. I have tried for sometime since the opening but the lines are crazy long. Today, we decided to stop in and I wish we hadn't. It was a maze trying to get to the drive through to order. The female taking our order kept having to repeat herself. Apparently, there were 2 lines to use, but there was no clear cut direction so everyone was using one line and it was hard to determine which car had the right away. We get to the window and there are several people scrambling around trying to fill orders and lots of confusion because they all had to go back to the register at the window to confirm the orders. The young lady who greeted us asked our name and we told her we never were asked to provide a name. She then asked if it was a girl or boy who took the order. Once we gave her that information she had to scroll through the screen on the register to find our order. We waited for a bit and watched everyone scramble around figuring out orders and finally we get our order only to find out that they were out of bean tamales. It was 10 in the morning - how are you out of bean tamales? We have bean and jalapeno, you can add something else, or take it off your ticket. Please take it off my ticket. We work our way out of the maze of a parking lot and get home. I admit the tamales were HOT but the flavor is not what I am used to from Delia's. I eat Delia's every time I go to the RGV and these are not the same. I took pork and chicken home and I am so disappointed from the start to finish. I am not sure if this was just a bad day, but I do not think I'll be visiting anytime soon. I have ranted and raved about Delia's to people and how wonderful the tamales are. I might just have my tamales shipped to me from the RGV. :( This is the San Antonio location I am...

I really like their tamales (pork) n their avocado salsa delish but I was disappointed cuz I went on Easter Sunday April 20 ,2025 n I had ordered 2 dozen pork tamales the lady said they had run out said only had beans ,pork with Chile n chicken n of course da other specialty tamales so I told her that I would take 1 doz chicken n 1 doz pork with Chile n an ice tea she charged me $42 n some change at that moment I didn't think much of it I figured maybe the pork with chili were more expensive I just wasn't sure my mistake was that I didn't check my receipt there but when I got back home which is in San Antonio, texas I pulled out the receipt out of my purse n saw that the lady had charged me for doz pork ,1 doz chicken n 1 doz pork with Chile n my tea so yes she charged me for a pork doz tamales but didn't give them to me cuz remember she had said ran out of pork tamales so disappointing since I pd for tamales I didn't get but charged for them right now ppl try to not spend more then u are suppose to everywhere you go prices get higher n higher n I understand that but to be charged for something you didn't get that is bad hopefully this didn't happen to someone else n I also understand they were very busy but still $ 1200 I didn't need...

The best part about Delia's is the TAMALES! I dare say, "Better than Mom's!" Made well with generous portions of meat. No skinny tamales here! It's so popular, parking is limited, drive-through line is long, & take out is your best bet! Spicy Pork is my favourite, or is it the Spicy Chicken, no maybe the ones with beans...I love them all. Drinks are fairly priced & varied including classic Mexican drinks like limonada & pina. Salsas are spicy (green one) & savory with garlic (red one); there's a basic salad bar with a few toppings including Ranch dressing. There are other items on the menu, I'll have to try the menudo soon. All the items are quite a treat. I keep coming back, again & again! ....days later...I tried the menudo and I recommend it, highly! Corn tortillas are traditionally homemade & great tasting.

MDGA (Make Delia's Great again) Their Tamales have really changed in taste and appearance they dont taste as great as before and they look like they are machine Mass produced now Not By Hand like the old and original Delia's on South 23 in Mcallen ,Tx Those were the good old days old fashioned hand made Tamales by Tias, Madres and Abuelas(Aunts, Moms and Grandmas)I will have to say the meats are factory ground and not boiled in a big old pot with all the good old Mexican Spices.I can only hope and hope again they go back to the old ways. For now i will seek Tamales elsewhere where the old fashioned Taste and handmade still remain..MDGA(MAKE DELIA'S GREAT AGAIN!)

I remember when I first tried the veracruzanos years ago they were delicious. I moved to Wisconsin 5 yrs ago and I came down and the first thing I wanted to eat was Delia's Tamales. Now the veracruzanos are over spiced with black pepper and cumin. I also like the spicy chicken and cheese because they would melt in my mouth now it seems like they use a different cheese. They taste different hardly any chicken and the most important thing is gone which is the flavor. I don't know how this place is still famous for their tamales if the Flavor is Not there. Now I LOVED the green salsa and that has changed too. I'm so disappointed #BRINGBACKTHEOLDDELIA'STAMALES
