Beautiful location, I accidentally bypassed it at first but finding our way back home was way easier. Lots of open land around, we walked up and there are d plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Friday night and there was even live music on the patio area.
Teri had a great variety of food and coffee/non coffee beverage options on the menu as well as standing fridges with a variety of canned and bottle options (everything from freshly squeezed orange juice to even a large selection of beers and wine). Looked like they even had wine by the glass as well. I got my standard Americano, 30 oz was about $3 +/- and it was really good. The kids opted for hot chocolates which they really enjoyed and they were very reasonably priced.
I got a few chocolate chip cookies and coffee/brown butter/walnut cookies to bring home. My son got a breakfast bagel to snack on (what's better than breakfast around dinner?) And my daughter got one of her favorites, a jalepeno cheese bagel. She really enjoyed it, said one of the most flavorful, best best bagels she has had.
The staff was super friendly and all smiles. It was quite busy for a Friday evening which is good and the staff kept up with the crowd. There is also a cute store where you can purchase some locally made items like jams, jellies and dog treats. Some fun gems, I got a cute homemade ghost magnet. Looks like they also have an event space as well as some fun activities planned.
We'll be back soon, great place to hang out and just relax. Plus Teri is doing a great job helping out their community and great causes. Thank you TERI, Yelp Elite, and Anne for another...
Read moreA hidden gem on a large piece of property in rural San Marcos, the cafe is an ideal gathering place for family and friends to catch-up over coffee, delicious pastries (jesuit, scones, muffins and more), breakfast or lunch. If you’re not a coffee drinker, there are bottled and canned drinks, tea and smoothies (with choice of protein powder—not your typical sugary concoction). Breakfast options include sandwiches, burritos, an açaí bowl, avocado toast and more! If you look closely at the paper menu, you’ll notice the ingredients are high quality, nutritious and well-rounded.
The two baristas were more than happy to answer my friend’s plethora of questions about ingredients, food prep, and other particulars as my friend has dietary restrictions. She ended up ordering the overnight oats and had rave reviews about the wonderful combo of ingredients saying it was one of the best she’s ever had!
We jumped at the opportunity to spend our money at a place with such a cool mission to serve the special needs community and would encourage you to as well! Looks like plans are in the works to add on to existing structures and construction is underway. They even take care of their construction crew with gluten-free chocolate chip peanut butter oatmeal cookies. At $1 a piece I couldn’t...
Read moreSo I went to this place again to give it another try plus I was on tour here with my parents and I got the matcha latte was okay but not as great as I wished it would be. The matcha had a strange vanilla aftertaste which I wasn't a fond of. The drinks and food was okay, but I think it could be better. Although I like the cause, I do think that the food and drink quality could be as good as the cause for this place. Anyway the service was great per usual and it looks cute inside it's just the food and drinks weren't as good as I hoped it to be. I think there should be new suppliers for this cafe so they could get food quality matcha etc. Anyway I did go there because my parents and I were looking at the jobs their for me and so on. Just to clarify I'm only being honest and I am not trying to be rude whatsoever just like for all cafes to improve so they can succeed more and if course with success has to come with criticism to bring improvements to become...
