On our drive from Fredericksburg to North Dallas, we must have hit this cute spot on a bad day. The shoppe is well-appointed and the ambiance was very nice. My wife ordered a iced hazelnut latte. Perhaps they are not used to making them, but after a loooooong wait (including my plain decaf), the drinks finally arrived. My wife's latte was almost pure milk (it tasted like it was made with half & half) with no hazelnut flavor and only a small hint of coffee. She approached the attendants (there were 3 behind the counter mid-day) and their attitude was less than professional. It appeared that the young lady charged with making the latte may have been relatively new. The other two made no effort to help her correct the order. My decaf was very light and somewhat bitter. We didn't try the food but it was likely good. The restaurant is clean...

It is with a heavy heart that I bestow the rating of 3.5 stars upon this restaurant. A single experience should never ruin someone's reputation, unless it was particularly horrendous. That said, this OUGHT to be a 5 star establishment.

I have eaten here and previously had a good experience (try the pimiento cheese sandwich—it is AMAZING!)

I came back today wanting ice cream, but they were out of nearly every flavor. They were also out of pecan pie. These made me sad, but it was close to closing time, so I understand. I wanted ice in my tea, but the machine was out—but one of the ladies gave us ice from behind the counter.

Ok, the egregious error. The blueberry tea. It literally tastes like olives—strongly. It was without a doubt the worst tea I've had. Don't get it. A single sip lasted hours. Legends says a cupful...

Drive by this place every time I go through San Saba, and yesterday, since my sister is here for her end of year visit, we decided to check it out. Boy, are we glad we did! I love the old buildings in these small towns and Oliver and Company is no exception. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and paninis as well as an outstanding selection of hot teas. If you like Reubens, then you need to try theirs. They also have items available at the front of the shop for purchase; pecan pies, pralines, gift tins, a variety of pecan butters, honey, etc. This is definitely a place...

If you are lucky your Google Maps will route you through San Saba and you can stop here for lunch. Timing was great and we didn't even plan it. I love coming on this type of place while traveling. Good food and service and atmosphere. See photos. We got one sandwich and split it and small cup of soup. More than enough for road trip. Must stop on your way somewhere.

We stayed at the Dofflemyer Hotel next door and had breakfast here. We ordered Waffles, Quiche, Oatmeal Cup w/ Pecans, Blueberries, & Brown Sugar, and Cinnamon Rolls. Everything tasted great! There's a shop on the other side of the coffee shop that sells spices, jams, butter, hot sauce, chocolates, and other packaged snacks. They also sell lotions and soaps.

Loved our visit to this amazing find in a small town. The sandwiches where yum and filling were made fresh, also loved their coffee and smoothies. We might have missed out on their paninis, but they looked delish.. They also have a Bakery but we didn’t try them during our lunch visit. They have outdoor seating too, but was too hot for us during mid-day.
