Ok were do I begin, LOL my wife and normally go to the Food Terminal across the street and we've read the reviews about this chain Tex Mex style Restaurant. Being a foodie from the West Coast and having experience with authentic Mexican Cuisine, I was not impressed about the reviews about two years ago. We saw a similar trend with all of the negative reviews and decided not visit this establishment. Maybe they needed sometime to figure things out.
Well, we decided to give them a try, Knowing Tex Mex is not really Mexican and this is a chain that's on the lower end of the Mexican food tier. We gave it a shot.
Food: The people with the Negative reviews have spoken, The Truth!!! I am sorry but this the food, while planty was just plain ordinary. I decide to try the Chimichro Burrito. Can t go wrong there right??? It looked the part but the Pork was supposed to be a breskit style pork. Ummm, it was just plain Ordinary. No flavor, just no taste at all. I requested the white cheese, which I thought was the authentic white cheese you get in real Mexican restaurants that's to die for. Ummmmm, it really tasted like pasty cheap cheese and I am not exaggerating here. The food is just bLAND as all get out. I only ate about a third of this big chimichurri Pork Brisket style Burrito. The food quality is not good at all. The chips with salsa this restaurant serves you is the cheap pasty thin you can get from lower cheap restaurants. Almost like something from a cheap bar. And the salsa is watery. Makes me mad, how do you serve this and have your menu represent Mexico. NO YOUR NOT, NO, NO YOUR NOT STOP!!! Even though I read the reviews and but that bias aside I was mad for the employees having to represent this place!!The only good thing was the drinks. And my wife didn't finish her meal as well it was a waste but Hey, we knew what we were possibly in for. The only good thing was the drinks I must say.
Service: Our server with the awesome tattoos on her arms was very good and on point.
Atmosphere: It's the draw that probably brings people in. Very nice Mexican themed decorations and the building is a new area with upscale Condos. Next to the Mercedes Headquarters. The best thing about the place.
In short, this is a classic small chain to sale atmosphere vs great quality food. It's on the lower tier of restaurant we've been too on the Atlanta area. The owners need to give up their ownership and get better quality food, with a real flair of Mexican cuisine. Trust me I've had some of the best in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. This chain is all about cheap Mexican food with good drinks. That'sit!! This is Not the Mexican Restaurant you want to go too. It's a damn shame. It's all about making a profit SMDH
I Do Not Recommend this establishment at all. If the owners need someone to help steer them in the right direction,...
Read moreNever been so embarrassed in my life , I eat with my family there and am told I cannot use my gift card in Apple Pay form even though itâs a real physical gift card . I have used the gift card at the same exact location before wit approval from a manager. This time the female manager accuses me of having stolen gift cards because it is in Apple Pay format and then a server call the police on me because I asked for an explanation of why am I having to pay out of pocket. While this is going on a little server girl with braces is recording me putting phone in my face and accusing me of smoking marijuana on the patio , it was a tobacco vape which I showed them . I decide to pay the bill , police arrives and then everyone acts as if I did not pay and we had to find the manager to get her approval that I paid which everyone already knew. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN . They are PREJUDICE , even stated that I must be having an issue on paying because I wanted to use a gift card . Have a lot of this commotion on camera and will be posting to social media . Also to make matters worse I am a working citizen on probation and am not to have police contact which I ended up encountering because I attempted to use a gift card I have used there before. I couldâve been arrested for honestly doing...
Read moreAs a frequent customer at La Parrilla, I can confidently say that Carlos and Maria are the best bartenders at the restaurant, and the food is simply amazing.
Carlos and Maria are always welcoming with a smile and exceptional customer service. They are both incredibly knowledgeable about the different types of drinks and take the time to recommend cocktails based on your preferences. Their cocktails are always perfectly balanced and made with high-quality ingredients.
Now, let's talk about the food. La Parrilla has a great selection of Mexican dishes, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. I particularly love their fajitas, which are sizzling with flavor and come with a generous portion of meat and veggies. The guacamole is also a must-try, made with fresh avocados and spices.
The combination of Carlos and Maria's exceptional bartending skills and the delicious food at La Parrilla makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I always look forward to my visits, knowing that I'll be in good hands with Carlos and Maria behind the bar, and the kitchen staff cooking up some of the best Mexican food in town.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a great bar and restaurant experience, head to La Parrilla and ask for Carlos and Maria. You won't be...
