This place is the poster child for the phrase "First impressions can be deceiving". A small rectangular building in the back of a large parking lot but when you walk through the door the whole world changes. Order your drinks and perhaps something to eat walk around the side of the bar step down into the pool room then step out onto the patio and onto Lake Kittatinny. You can sit at a table or you can walk over to the side and sit in an Adirondack chair... read a book just relax and the troubles of the day just definitely disappear. Business is owned by veterans. I can't think of a better way of paying them back for their service then frequenting this wonderful Oasis hidden right in the middle of all todays stress. ... Just watch out for...

Norm!!!! Gyp's will not disappoint. If you like bars, REAL bars, you'll be right at home at Gyps. On a cool breezy day you can sit outside with a lake view, have a great burger, and listen to a great jukebox. The beers are pretty cheap compared to NY standards.
