Below average food. Breakfast is really bad. Bland and tasteless. From the omelettes, to the dry hash brown devoid of taste. And the "Biscuits and gravy".....wow. I grew up in the deep South ao my expectations are high but this was an abomination. The "Biscuits" was Texas Toast and the gravy was some Ralph's powder gravy. I mean REALLY, really bad. An embarrassment. They should take this off the menu immediately. Lunch and Dinner are better but still bland, below average Burgers and the like. Fries are greasy and don't order cheese or chili cheese fries. Again, from the South I have high standards that skew my opinion but they are extremely average on their best days. Burgers are fine but any fast food place has better. Sadly the food is just average at best to below average most of the time. And make no mistake, I've given Telly's many, many tries and that's why Telly's continues to thrive. Complacency and laziness. It's easier than going down the hill for the Skyline and neighborhoods that are a stones throw away. The food is a 2.5. Now the good. Orders tend to be correct. Atmosphere is good as well. Location is excellent for our area residents. It's the food sadly that lacks but beyond that Telly's has their stuff together. We'll see as more options open in the shopping center and frankly I think people are just willing to disregard how below average their food is because they would rather look past it then travel more than a few minutes. If you're reading this Telly's get better at your food offerings or somehow stop any and mean ANY other comparable diners from opening in...
Read moreThis is the second time that we ordered from the new location and we were completely dissatisfied, worse than the first time. The food was not only cold, it was tasteless and the overpriced shakes that the young lady had hidden the pricing of such, were not even full for the overprice charged compared to your last location, which there is no comparison to the food or service. Waited again in line a half hour before getting to the window. Order and price was incorrect, cost more than what was originally quoted and overall, again was another experience worse than the first and was hoping that it would have gotten better. We can only hope that this location starts bringing up their game, both in service and food quality for the price charged. $35 for two for burgers, fries, onion rings and not even two full shakes at $5.00 ea. Overcharged and would never have paid that much had I been quoted correctly. Shame on those that do not know...
Read moreTo be fair I hate self service cafeteria style ordering as opposed to table service. So this put me off right away.
I will say though the staff were exceptionally nice, friendly and helpful.
I just wish the food had lived up to their service.
I had corned beef hash and eggs - eggs were undercooked. My son had two breakfast sandwiches which he said were blah.
The coffee was help yourself from a difficult to get at thermal jug. First cup of freshly made was fine after that too acidic.
We also tried their spicy chicken wrap which was recommended by a friend. Cold burrito wrap with luke warm chicken dipped in Frankâs Red Hot sauce and surrounded by lettuce smothered in thousand Islands dressing. Not worth the money sorry. Maybe if itâs late at night and youâre very very tipsy.
Breakfast was not...
