This is our favorite local Mediterranean place. It’s an easy go-to for quality Greek food at a great value. Even our 3 1/2 year old daughter loves it. We get two meals, all 3 of eat till we’re stuffed and we always have leftovers.
My personal favorite is the Salmon Kabob Plate. It come with two big skewers filled with huge chunks of tender grilled salmon between grilled red onions, squash, red bell peppers and zucchini. These sit on a large bed of flavorful yellow rice. It also comes with a generous side of hummus and small Greek salad, loaded with olives, feta, and cucumbers.
My husband’s go-to is ordering the large side of gyro meat (pictured below) and a few sides of pita bread. He basically builds his own gyro wraps and will share my rice. They pack the container with so much meat, I don’t think he’s ever been able to finish it in one sitting. It does re-heat pretty well though too. Pro tip: the pita bread will keep for an extra day or two if sealed in a ziplock and kept on the counter. Unsealed and they get hard, refrigerated and they dry out.
My other favorites are the “spicy potatoes” (that I find more flavorful than actually spicy, though I suppose that’s relative) and the cheese phyllo sides. Omg… both of these are so good that I sometimes order just these two things as a meal. The potatoes are soooo delicious and the cheese phyllos are perfectly light, fluffy and just a little crunchy too.
The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes they can be slow. Even on a Friday night they only had one employee at...
Read moreOk so listen up. I am a real Arabic/Mediterranean guy, so I grew up with this food as a child and my Jordaniain mom makes it when I visit her.
PROS:
This place is surprisingly excellent to get to the point.
The employees are not Arabic, they are hispanic but they have good service and they are very good at getting the recipes correctly! They are great and understand the food.
The portions are great. Do not change this!
The quality of meat is good!
The price is very reasonable. This costs the same as garbage fast food places (14 - 20$) but obviously this is real food and much better compared to garbage American food. Great price / value.
Dining area is small, but cozy. It reminds me of many italian, arabic, etc. family owned restranauts which I grew up eating in.
CONS:
Please add french fries to your menu. In the Middle East and Europe, it is very weird if a med/greek food place does not have French Fries. Add fries with Mediterranean seasoning. The spicy potatoes are very tasty however.
Nothing else... Good job guys!
I will return to this place and bring friends! Keep it up and do not change anything for the...
Read moreGood mediterranean food can be hard to find, so, when visiting California, I’d definitely recommend stopping by this place. Located in an industrial strip mall this small but quaint restaurant is tucked away amongst other businesses, and with no signage above the doors it can easily be missed.
I ordered the salmon kebab with grilled vegetables instead of rice. Chucks of salmon squares served on skewers and separated by grilled vegetables was a visual masterpiece. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing as did the grilled vegetables. The dish was served along side hummus, a side salad and pita bread.
I did find the pita bread a little more crisper and flaker than I’m accustomed to and it did lack a bit of flavor. With that said, I throughly enjoyed my meal.
Kudos, to the entire staff. Specifically, Lucy, her enthusiasm, personality and professional demeanor was great. She truly understands the criticality of providing exceptional...
