I recently had the pleasure of dining at Terra Restaurant, located within the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel, and I must say that it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for an unforgettable afternoon.
The decor of Terra Restaurant exudes elegance and sophistication, with its tastefully designed interior and a perfect balance of modern and traditional elements. The attention to detail is apparent, from the exquisite table settings to the soft lighting that created an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant's layout also provides a sense of privacy, allowing each table to enjoy their own personal space.
The staff at Terra Restaurant demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and attentiveness throughout the day. From the moment we were seated, our server made us feel welcome and took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering suggestions and answering any questions we had. The waitstaff's knowledge and passion for the culinary creations being served was truly commendable.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Terra Restaurant is a culinary masterpiece, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. Each dish that arrived at our table was beautifully presented and bursting with exquisite flavors. From the delicious blue corn pancakes to the perfectly cooked Easter Pie, every bite was a delight to the senses.
In terms of dessert, Terra Restaurant truly excelled. The pastry chef's creations were a symphony of flavors and textures, and the dessert menu offered a wide variety of options to suit every palate. The bread pudding with ice cream, with its soft and flakey center and decadent caramel sauce, was the perfect way to end the meal on a high note.
While Terra Restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience overall, I feel compelled to mention that the prices are reflective of the upscale nature of the establishment. However, considering the quality of the food, the impeccable service, and the luxurious ambiance, it is undoubtedly worth the splurge for a special occasion or a truly memorable afternoon.
All in all, Terra Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel provided an exceptional dining experience that left me thoroughly impressed. From the elegant ambiance and attentive service to the outstanding culinary creations, every aspect of the restaurant exudes excellence. I highly recommend Terra Restaurant to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience that will tantalize their taste buds and create...
Read moreI am disappointed to report my overall poor experience dining at Terra. My family and I were staying off of the Four Seasons property nearby at the Auberge Bishop’s Lodge. My wife and I have stayed and dined at several Four Seasons resorts, and have typically had very good experiences. However, from the moment that we entered the hotel, our experience was different.
The greeting from the door staff was absent, and upon finding the restaurant within the hotel there were no host staff to be found. We waiting for over 10 minutes past our reservation time until we were greeted by a host, and another 10 minutes before being directed to a table. Upon sitting, 15 minutes passed without being greeted by a server, and ultimately our drink order was taken by the restaurant manager. We took the opportunity to order for our children at this time, as we did not know when we would actually see a server. Several minutes later a server arrived and appeared pressured and rushed. It turned out the entire restaurant was staffed by two servers, each having 8-9 tables to service. Considering this, our server did a good job, but we did not get the attention that one would usually receive at a restaurant of this caliber.
The appetizers were good, the entrees were lackluster. It’s possible my review of the food would have been better if I hadn’t waited so long for it. My son ordered the petite filet, which had to be sent back because it was tough and overcooked. Really, it cut like a sirloin and not a filet. A nearby table also sent back a steak for similar reasons. Instead, my son ordered the fish, which was fine.
The atmosphere was nothing special, but the view was very nice. I am a big fan of Four Seasons resorts, and I am no stranger to luxury resorts. I am saddened that Terra did not live up to the standard that I have come to expect from Four Seasons, and I will not be returning.
I spent over a week in the Santa Fe area and dined at several very nice restaurants in the area. Do yourself a favor and skip Terra, and find one of the local...
Read moreI had only dinned here once before a few years ago while enjoying a special Christmas lunch with my family. Since then, I've been eager to return to see how this place has held-up since and what they typically have to offer on an average weekend afternoon. Last weekend, I came in for an afternoon lunch. I was looking forward to being seated in the main dining room, but alas, it was closed and I was seated in the bar area instead. Not such a big deal as the bar area still allows for patrons to look put the windows to enjoy the scenic Tesuque landscape After being handed my menu, I was not too surprised to see that his place featured a small and modest menu containing only about twenty or so items (appetizers included). Something that is definitely a hallmark trait among many modern and upscale restaurants. For my meal, I had the tortilla soup as an appetizer and a burger with fries as my entree. The soup was delicious and had a slight kick to it. The garnish and sour cream placed atop the dish is what really made it stand out for me, so definitely nothing to complain about there. The burger was cooked just as I had requested and the bacon was just as crispy as it was smokey. The fries were also satisfactory, but I wish my waiter had asked me what side I would have liked (as a choice of side is offered) instead of just assuming fries would be adequate enough. I can overlook this as he was the waiter on the floor and had about eight or nine other tables to attend to as well as several bar patrons. In all, I enjoyed my winter getaway lunch stop at Terra. The atmosphere is near top-notch and the food is just as you would expect for a place of...
