I'll start by saying my wife and I normally enjoy the restaurant. Today for lunch however I tried an item for the first time that was a bit disappointing and misleading on the menu description. It was the "Grilled Chicken Breast" sandwich. Upon receiving I questioned the server and said I ordered the grilled chicken breast, mine is sliced. He said that's how it comes. Upon eating it was just dry leathery because when you grill sliced breast, that's what you end up with. Had the menu said Grilled "Sliced" Chicken Breast, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. Just a thought for next time printing the menus, or if possible, offer an actual grilled chicken breast. Also, before reviewing here I tried to email the restaurant on the email listed on YOUR website but it continually bounced back.

A hidden gem in Santa Paula. I was recommended this amazing spot buy a local friend. The location is sort of hidden in an industrial park. I came here for lunch and the menu was robust to say the least. In addition there was also a variety of daily specials. I opted for the Turkey club with onion rings with a side salad. But the decision was not an easy one. The portions were large and everything tasted great. The onion rings were perfectly crisp with amazing flavor. The sandwich was equally delicious. And the side salad was actually made with quality spring mix instead of the standard iceberg lettuce. Overall a fantastic local spot serving up some quality food. The service was great!

I’ve eaten breakfast here mostly, but had dinner here for the first time, and Wow! It was sooo, so good. It was very busy (it was Cruise Night in town) but the hostess accommodated us so sweetly, and our server (wish I had gotten her name) was absolutely on it. She knew the menu well, she suggested specials and was able to communicate in only a way sometime who knows what they’re doing, does. Lol if that makes sense. Anyhow, I had the Trout Almondine and my sister had the Chicken Fried Steak. We shared the Caesar salad and yes, you can have anchovies added if you want to!!! YUM!!! Who does that anymore? 🥰🥰 Can’t wait to go back!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went with my friends on Sunday to get a good meal , until i saw that some girl was a the bar telling one of the waitress things and after she started laughing with these other people. i'm guessing they both worked there until one of my friends told me that the girl in the bar was the owners daughter. The owners daughter was treating the waitress bad like if shes better than her, just because your the daughter of a person who owns a restaurant doesn't mean you are better than anyone, cause believe it or not those waitress are hard workers!!. me and my friends wont go again to hozy's and im going to make sure i tell people how waitress get treated. and the worse was the when we were going to get seated some janitor kept calling the same waitress that helped and he was telling her things, but the waitress was helping us first and that's what i liked that she puts the custmor's first. hopefully she works at a place that well treat her better. other than these white people...

1st time visitor - My wife and I have lived in Ojai for years and had heard of Hozy's but had never tried it. We decided on a whim to go there on a Saturday night (the night before Father's day) and discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant. We should have made reservations as we had to wait about 1/2 hour to be seated (we could have sat at the bar but wanted to enjoy the evening sitting outside). Our hostess was super efficient and kept us updated on our wait. When we were seated we were attended to quickly with menus and a wine list. We were surprised at the bustling activity in such a small venue - they really pack 'em in and keep things hopping! The menu was interesting and varied - lots to choose from and it was all good! I ended up getting the prime rib and my wife enjoyed the triple filet - we were both very pleased! Cooked perfectly, served well and presented nicely! We're both trying to figure out what we'll get the next time we visit! We'll...

Jacki and I have been coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner for better than 23 years. It has NEVER changed. Testament to the family ownership. Genuinely great people. Really interesting story about the Genesis of this great place.

Had dinner celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. The abalone is a rare treat. Jacki had the filet mix up. Just stupendous. I had seafood linguine. Red sauce was first rate, pasta cooked perfectly. Shrimp, world class, sea bass, mussels and clams. Wow. Very memorable experience!

The wine list is without equal in Ventura County. The staff was beyond competent. They added to the evening ... Especially Antonia. What a love.

Yeah, I know it's off the beaten path, but do yourself a favor and go here. For breakfast, lunch or especially dinner you'll thank me and whoever you take will think you a wizard. I love this...
