I went with my friends on Sunday to get a good meal , until i saw that some girl was a the bar telling one of the waitress things and after she started laughing with these other people. i'm guessing they both worked there until one of my friends told me that the girl in the bar was the owners daughter. The owners daughter was treating the waitress bad like if shes better than her, just because your the daughter of a person who owns a restaurant doesn't mean you are better than anyone, cause believe it or not those waitress are hard workers!!. me and my friends wont go again to hozy's and im going to make sure i tell people how waitress get treated. and the worse was the when we were going to get seated some janitor kept calling the same waitress that helped and he was telling her things, but the waitress was helping us first and that's what i liked that she puts the custmor's first. hopefully she works at a place that well treat her better. other than these white people...
Read more1st time visitor - My wife and I have lived in Ojai for years and had heard of Hozy's but had never tried it. We decided on a whim to go there on a Saturday night (the night before Father's day) and discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant. We should have made reservations as we had to wait about 1/2 hour to be seated (we could have sat at the bar but wanted to enjoy the evening sitting outside). I ended up getting the prime rib and my wife enjoyed the triple filet - we were both very pleased! Cooked perfectly, served well and presented nicely! We're both trying to figure out what we'll get the next time we visit! We'll...
Read moreJacki and I have been coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner for better than 23 years. It has NEVER changed. Testament to the family ownership. Genuinely great people. Really interesting story about the Genesis of this great place.
Had dinner celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. The abalone is a rare treat. Jacki had the filet mix up. Just stupendous. I had seafood linguine. Red sauce was first rate, pasta cooked perfectly. Shrimp, world class, sea bass, mussels and clams. Wow. Very memorable experience!
The wine list is without equal in Ventura County. The staff was beyond competent. They added to the evening ... Especially Antonia. What a love.
Yeah, I know it's off the beaten path, but do yourself a favor and go here. For breakfast, lunch or especially dinner you'll thank me and whoever you take will think you a wizard. I love this...
