Although I've been living out of state for 3 years, whenever I come out to visit my family here in Santa Paula - this place is my go-to for drinks and/or dinner. It's where I had my bridal shower! Luckily, last week my husband and I were able to roll in and have a jumbo original lime margarita and nachos during happy hour. And what a great happy hour it was! Lime margarita is still one of the best in the west. The atmosphere is always so lively and inviting. Service is great. And food never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Honestly this place is average and more of a Tex-Mex style restraunt. The staff was awesome just for an older lady with short hair with a very rude attitude. If your reading my review this place is like an El Torito or Acapulco nothing authentic. The taco they provide is like one from Taco Bell not a taco dorado. I am Mexican- American and have learned to except these type of restraunts because of the customer base they have and are providing jobs. If you want the real deal it ain't here.

Best environment & place to enjoy some delicious Mexican food 😋 bathroom are clean & there booth tables are very comfortable 👌. There staff and management are great. Your greeted as you enter and leave. There margarita you gotta at least try once yummy as well. Chips & salsa are served as you get seated. They got my 5 star 🌟 they have shirts for sale we recently purchased 2 and wear them proudly. We hope you enjoy as much as we do every time

I went to La Cabana last night because my boyfriend likes it, although I do not. The food is NOT authentic Mexican food. It is an American version of it. The service was terrible. They sat us and about 5 minutes later our waiter came to get our drink requests. About 10 minutes after that, the chips came(Still no drinks). My boyfriend ordered a soup in addition to his meal. Typically the soup is brought first. Not at this restaurant! By the time our meals arrived, the chips were empty. The waiter did not ask us if we wanted more chips instead he refilled the salsa and left. We had to ask for more chips! The waiter came to ask if we needed anything else and I asked for jalapeños. He left . I watched him deliver food to two tables before going to get the peppers. All the while I am waiting to begin eating. Finally the peppers arrived. No one ever came to see if we needed our drinks refilled, so I placed my glass at the edge of the table making it obvious I needed a refill. Finally, it was filled. I have been to La cabaña restaurant three times since the new owners. All three times the service has been terrible. Once I left after waiting 20 minutes to receive drinks! You know a Mexican restaurant is authentic if it is filled with Mexican patrons, the waiters are Spanish speaking, and the chips are made at the restaurant, not purchased. La Cabana does not make the grade. I...

A great Mexican restaurant in Santa Paula! I've been here previously during the week and it was usually quiet and empty. On a whim we came last Friday night and what a crowd! We did have to wait for about 15 minutes before we were seated so we had a chance to look at the menu but once seated our order was taken right away. We ordered their famous deep fried burrito. DELICIOUS. 🌯 Filled with rice, beans and large chunks of beef covered in a red sauce, guacamole and sour cream with a side of shredded lettuce with a bit of sauce and cheese on top. To drink I got a water and my husband a lemonade. The service was great, we were attended to often, got a couple refills of chip and their house salsa had just the right amount of kick. Definitely would recommend, next time I will try their Margaritas, I saw several being taken to a table nearby and they were topped with whipped cream? Looked cool! TL;DR Great food, great service, very busy...

I haven't been here in so long. Came with a friend who lives in town. We got seated right away. Waitress brought chips and salsa and we ordered our drinks. She came back with our drinks asked us if we were ready to order and told her that we just needed a few minutes. Never saw her again! We kept looking for her but she never passed by our table. So another waitress took our order, our food came out very quickly. Everything was fine, we enjoyed our food. Then sat there waiting and waiting for the check. Finally we just got up and walked to the cashier. She had to go hunt for our ticket. I don't feel they were exceptionally busy for not getting good service and no one bothered to explain why she disappeared. Therefore the tip reflected the...
